  1. Also, how many teams outside the SWAC and MEAC have played seven games so far, only three on their home court, and still have a 5-2 record?
  2. So I'm watching this roundtable after the game with Coach K, Boeheim and Roy Williams (as if they needed any more publicity — and shouldn't they be out paying recruits?), and I'm wondering if they're ever put in a position of having their top three post players out of a game because of foul trouble and/or injuries. How often are they forced to make-do with a stretch forward playing the 5? Sure, they have 13 all-Americans on the roster, but I'm betting officials never let things get to that point for these guys. I'm sure it's just sour grapes, but I'm tired of our coaches having to beg for just a little of the advantages these "legends" get during the course of a game and a season. (Cough, Bill Self, cough.)
  3. Bad combination of an injury and foul trouble left us with no idea how to defend the paint in both halves. Need to figure that out, especially if Roby is out for longer than a couple of weeks.
  4. Get a stop, and then give it up. Damn.
  5. Roby is a force on defense. He will be missed. (Until, of course, he's back.)
  6. Thomas Allen with stone cojones.
  7. Itty Bitty Committee not getting it done on defense.
  8. Glynn Watson, mothertruckers.
  9. Cope at the 5. We'll see how this works.
  10. Yussuf is also initiating the contact when he makes a move to the hoop. Slammed into Jordy twice before pushing him to get the rebound.
  11. Starting lineup back on track. Gill looks good. Duby serviceable. Without Roby for a few weeks, that means we either cut down the rotation for the big games, or we take more chances with Allen, McVeigh and Borchardt. I'm OK with shortening the bench.
  12. Not out best lineup: 1. Taylor 2. Gill 3. Palmer 4. McVeigh 5. Borchardt Helped give LBS some confidence on the offensive end.
  13. Providence emasculating BC 80-58 with 4:30 to go.
  14. I'm beginning to think it's just a McPipe dream.
  15. Well, right now we seem to have a decent nine-man rotation, and Gill certainly looks the part of the 3-point specialist off the bench, while Roby is the presence down low that McVeight isn't, so there won't be many minutes.
  16. Nana's gonna make one soon. Right?
  17. Uh, get Palmer out of there maybe?
  18. I think they're busy changing clothes.
  19. Iowa down 37-17 to Louisiana (the Lafayette variety) at halftime in Cayman Classic. UL-Lafayette is 111 on Kenpom, only nine spots below Nebraska.
