I feel some of the hype (if not most) is related to the way things have gone wrong in prior off-seasons. In the past these drama's always seemed to play out the wrong way. This could be seen as the last hurdle to a "clean" start to the season. And another corner turned for the program. JMHO1 point -
I guess I don't see the connection between the two things. The connection is that the NCAA was extremely generous with the Gibbs ruling. Gibbs didn't deserve the sixth year - he knows it, McDermott knows it, the CU compliance department knows it. He is extremely lucky to get it. If the NCAA doesn't allow Tai in, it will be yet another case of extreme inconsistencies shown by them regarding harshness v. generosity between various situations.1 point
