Not a regional connection at all. Would make travel an issue for fans.  Kind of like NU and the B1G now. Can't travel so easily like we used to do in Big 12. Drive a few hours and could go to many games...it was fun day trip many times for football.

Watched most of K St and TCU today. Lost to a more athletic TCU.

Page girl was starting I think. Played the wing/forward down by corner, for 3 shots. Made a few..maybe 3 for 8 ??. She seems more suited to K St's slow down deliberate offense. (not a moving offense) They also played mostly zone defense.

They better add someone because I think OU bolts the conference in a couple

years because of the fiasco they're going through now with the rest of the

league over the Baker Mayfield transfer.

I haven't heard of what going on with the Mayfield deal?

Mayfield was big 12 freshman of the year at Texas Tech. He was a walk on at TT. After the football season two years ago, he was told by TT that there was a pretty good chance he wouldn't be put on scholarship his sophomore season either. So he decided to quit TT and  transfer to OU. TT denied him the release so as to get him to transfer out of the Big 12. You lose two years of eligibility instead of one when you transfer inside the conference.

OU asked for a waiver from TT to grant him another year, claiming since he wasn't on scholarship and paid his own way the first year he should be given his one year of eligibility back. TT wouldn't budge on their stance. OU appealed to the league and fellow conference members voted 10-1 against OU on giving the kid another year. OU then appealed to the NCAA and they agreed with the conference. Officials at TT won't talk about it.

So he has two years left right?

There is no way anybody from the Big 12 is leaving, especially a "power" team.  With the B12's grant of rights and all of the $$$ anybody would be foolish to leave that conference.  Furthermore, a school isnt going to leave because of one single football player.  OU just recieved a transfer qb from Texas A&M so if things dont go as planned with Mayfield they can move on without him.
