Huskerpapa Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 Pretty interesting article regarding Willie Cauley-Stein. He was simply a honorable mention and not a first or second team HS basketball player. Benny and Shavon were. Regardless, I got a chuckle out of reading it and thought I would share. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/campus-corner/article17093066.html Quote
Donkey Posted April 1, 2015 Report Posted April 1, 2015 I have noticed that high school basketball honors usually focus on players' offensive success. Cauley-Stein's offensive game was, and to some extent still is, limited. All of the Kentucky people I have talked to feel Cauley-Stein is a solid defender (they use Nerlens Noel and Anthony Davis as their baseline) but lacks the ability to take over a game offensively.
