HB Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 I would like to see both Kalenta and Cincore getting some minutes soon. Maybe it's a matter of conditioning. Seemed like Cincore was doing a good job before she landed in the boot. She always gets on the stat board within 30 seconds of coming into a game, whether it's due to a steal, bucket, or rebound. Even just getting her in for a few minutes in the first half would help. I think she's good enough to be a starter next year. Hmmm.....I haven't seen enough think that at this point. She'll have to improve her offensive skills a lot. Maybe she'll fill the Hailee role that Hailee had prior to becoming a post this year. But with Rachel, Natalie and Chandler back, it will take some work for Jasmine to start. However, she is probably a more natural 3 than the others, so you could be right. Quote
redsteve Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 If Yori could work in Cincore and Kalenta for a few minutes, we would have 5 coming off the bench! Can you imagine? I quess this is where I'd hope we would be.....getting the newbies involved. (maybe a little sooner probably...but...) Just seemed like the skills they all demonstrated, before coming here...would come into play......litterly. Too bad we (they) lost about half the season because of all the issues. This is the nice problem I thought would happen...to Yori. Getting them on the floor. Most seem to be able to shoot and score...that may be one of the nice surprises....if you can call it a surprise. Maybe the last couple of games....we are seeing there is depth on the bench that can contribute. We just couldn't score effectivly for the first few games of the B1G....now we're getting on a roll. It seemed Havers defensive play in the paint these days may be intentional...maybe that's the roll Yori wants Havers to play......tough play in the paint, ....harrass the othe post players to the extent they foul a lot....Penn States big girl foulded out after wrestling with Havers through out the game. Purdue gilrs also were called for some fouls with Havers. Havers made their bigs works for every rebound/point. Just an observation....... Quote
