Lets not try and backdoor our way into this tourney, we have an opportunity this week to take it outta the hands of the committee,  all the rpi and bracketology formulas are irrelavnt if we go into bloomington and beat a team we already beat this yr and than take care of things at home on sunday.....at illinois last wk it looked like illinois was on the bubble they beat us to every lose ball and played harder...that can't happen tonight...if we get to every 50/50 ball and get off to decent start and try and take the crowd out of it we can pull this off........i know on non gamedays theres not much to talk about, but we gota game in 6 hrs, so screw rpi and bracketologoies formulas and other bubble teams losing,  lets get after it tonight and make what everyone else does and the formulas irrlevant,  I think miles will have them ready to compete.

Correct, but in our current situation it's really weighing us down. We need to get the 19th regular season win.

It's not weighing us down, our SOS is strong enough to have us in the position we are in. We have 17 wins and are in this position. If we have 2 extra cupcake wins right now for 19 total, we still need more wins AND our SOS is probably at a point that makes it tougher for us to get in.

beating wisconsin and indiana would put us at least top 4 in the big10. i think that would be enough to get into the play-in game.

 

If we also won a game in the B1G tourney, we'd probably get at least a 10 seed.

The losses at PSU and Purdue will haunt this team. Non scheduling one more non con could hurt as well. After the last week I'm not so sure 19 is a guarantee. I really think the number is back to 20.

It was possible for us to piggy-back on the South Carolina tourney and set up a game with a team there...I think either someone said or I heard Miles say that a game at New Mexico would have been possible. If that was the extra game we could have snagged, it wouldn't have added to our win total.

 

We couldn't have just added a random non-con though.
