Nice article on what it's like in mid-major basketball. Coach Lansing is from Harlan, iowa and Jake Odom, IN MY OPINION, could start for any team in the nation.

He is a good Missouri Valley guard.  IN MY OPINION, he is nowhere even close to resembling the best point guard in the nation.  Not super fast or quick and not a great shooter.  He is a crafty guy that knows how to play.  But he is not on the radar of best point in the nation.   You will enjoy watching better teams come to town.  You will quickly realize I am correct.

I'm with Royal on this one. He is very good, but saying he could start for anyone is a bit of an overstatement. Now, he would probably get minutes on most teams, but I just don't see Coach Cal giving him the keys to the big blue car.

I don't think I said that he was the best point guard in the nation. (Although most mid-major leagues, like the Valley, are heavy with good guards.) I also said that he "could" start for any team. And Cousin, you  are right, there are some teams (the elite) that he might not start for. (But he might. Imagine what type of a point guard he could be if he had the other four Kentucky starters on the floor with him.) Royalfan, you are right, some good teams will be coming to Omaha this year. Should be a great time. Single game tickets go on sale tomorrow.
