jamar1700 Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 Jason Aldean reminds me of a story about Toby Keith (since they're both "new" country artists). In what way shape or form is Toby Keith a "new" country artist? Relative to Willie Nelson, yes but Toby has been around and on the radio way longer than his recent persona. Snce the early 90's ... when he was a "pretty boy" http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6c/TobyKeithCD.jpg And yes, Buble is huge and has been for quite a few years. He sells out. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 I'm not serious when I'm making fun of Michael Buble. I think the guy has a fantastic voice. Frankly, I wish I had his pipes. I've seen him on TV a couple of times and he's entertaining. He might not have quite the "name" you might be hoping for to open the PBA but it wouldn't surprise me if he does sell out. Quote

No, Toby really isn't "new" , I just don't like any Country music after 1980, and wanted to share that story which I think accurately sums him up. Quote
Nighthawk Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 All I know is that the Gods of Rock are severely displease with the gifts that Pinnacle Bank Arena has presented them. Crossing fingers that some MAJOR league Rock Band is next on the list. although knowing the way this town works it will probably be a Debbie Gibson/Tiffany/NKOTB reunion tour concert. Quote
Handy Johnson Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 I know those 1st two gigs can't touch the Molly Hatchet/Jefferson Starship bill I caught at Pershing back in '85! Quote
