James Palmer was named to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament All-Tourney team after leading his team to a 2-1 record and tying tourney MVP Chris Clemons for first overall in scoring at 18.3 PPG

The P.I.T. features some of the top 64 graduating seniors playing in front of NBA scouts and also included B1G players Juwan Morgan (Indiana), Kenny Goins (Michigan St.), Jordan Murphy (Minnesota), Vic Law, Dererk Pardon (Northwestern) and Josh Reaves (Penn St.).  There is a handshake agreement that the top 5 players will be invited to either the NBA Combine or the G League Elite Camp.  The Elite Camp is a new event made up for NBA scouts of G-League players and the 40 top players not invited to the NBA Combine.

At the end of the day it seems like a long shot that Palmer will be drafted.  Him being invited to either the Combine or the Elite Camp would certainly improve those odds.
