  1. Think its ridiculous people are upset by what he said.
  2. Maybe. But I see a lot of what I've seen the last 7 years when it comes to that. Lewis isn't the common denominator in that sense.
  3. Have no clue how someone could not be excited about a Hoiberg hire.
  4. I just hope guys like Watson and Palmer have some pride. I get that it's disappointing that your NCAA dream has been destroyed for all realistic purposes, but do you really want to go out leaving the type of impression that was left last night? Both in terms of their legacy externally but the own internal taste in their mouth.
  5. Have a hard time seeing him turning down a P5 head coaching job paying roughly $3M a year over another assistant job or low major
  6. Actually like Lewis a lot and would rather go with him than most mid-major reaches. But there's almost no shot he gets promoted after being a part of a fired staff.
  7. It has been. But we've also haven't made wise coaching decisions, gone into things with both an open pocket book, had competent facilities or a combination of the 3
  8. We won't pay our MBB coach as much as our FB coach. Nor should we. $4M is more than enough to pay.
  9. No way do we pay $5. Now $3.5-$4 is another question
  10. Thats one of his better shooting nights over the last month
  11. Palmer hasn't taken less shots. He's made less shots
  12. At least we are going to make the decision easy.
  13. Harris has been pretty good tonight. Our seniors have been terrible
  14. He's been bad on most courts this winter
  15. Good to see Palmer is still a wreck
  16. Amir has done some nice things thus far.
  17. I think most here will all agree that the best thing for us likely would have been to meet expectations this year and thus for Miles to earn a full renewal of his contract. If we can't make the dance with this roster, Copeland missing for the last 1/3 of the year or not, then it is time to move on. Yes, we have some good players coming in, but are they really any better than what we have? It's disappointing because a NCAA torunament bid this year could have really sparked some momentum when combined with last year and the incomiing classes, but if it is another year with no dance and next year looking like an impending rebuilding year....keeping MIles isn't going to be good. There is going to be a level of angst in the fanbase and with an extension or not, Miles is still going to be viewed as being on the hot seat and very close to being fired. It won't be Bo-like because Miles doesn't have Bo's boorish personality, but there is going to be a level of toxicity regardless. Miles sells and represents the program well (sans the winning) so its unfortunate if he cant get it done, but at some point you have to move on. It's unrealistic to think that people will continue to consistently buy in with more and more failures. Hopefully he can just please everyone and get to the dance.
  18. This is why I never bought that narrative that he would leave for another job if we have success this year. If he supposedly had other P5 offers like he said and turned them down when he's on the 'hot seat' here, he's not going to turn them down when he gets an extension. MIles wants to be here and we pay him very well.
