  1. I will
  2. I think I remember that. Probably should have kicked the ball out.
  3. I don't recall that Jess was ever a bad free throw shooter in HS, but I also didn't watch Fremont that closely when she was there. It seems like the shooting issues are always at the other end of the court in the first half. Early game jitters, just getting warmed up, not sure what the issue is. We missed 7 layups in the first half alone (I didn't remember it was that high but one of the local newspapers had that in their article). At the end of the night, our free-throw percentage was respectable. I loved loved loved seeing Kyndal take it to the hoop. I also loved it when Jess passed the ball out to Nat for a wide open 3. Both of those things happening make us so much harder to defend. Kyndal, Nat, and Theriot are all very capable 3 point shooters. If teams are going to double/triple Jess, then she needs to kick that ball out to one of them. One of the rebounds that Jess had last night in the 4th quarter (I think it was the 4th), she was way up in the air. I don't think I've ever seen her jump so high. Maybe she is getting more comfortable post-knee injury.
  4. I think where we really missed Rachel B last night was in the rebounding department. Looking forward to seeing her back on the court and ready to beat Iowa!
  5. Yori said Rachel rolled her ankle in the NAU game and didn't practice yesterday. Nat didn't practice yesterday either because her eye swelled shut.
  6. Missed lay ups and free throws...
  7. So, Sidney Cooks and Lauryn Miller for 2017? Think we have a chance?
  8. Was St. Mary's the one that upset Mater Dei?
  9. I noticed on more than one occasion that when NAU had the ball underneath the basket they would hook whomever was defending them and get the bucket. A foul was never called (at least when I saw it happen). Also, it looked like when NAU called the time out during the floor scrum that Jess had her hands on the ball for the tie up, but NAU was awarded the time out. Just poor overall for the refs. That said, I love the grit in this team. I do like that they have had to come from behind a few times and pull out the win with CU and NAU. We also managed to do that without RB43 yesterday, which I was really nervous about. Wish the Cal game had gone in our favor, but the fact they hung in there to force OT on the road against a ranked team while we had foul trouble is something that will help our young players. A warm welcome to the national champion joining the team on Monday!!
  10. Has this crew ever worked together?
  11. Which lumberjackass was it that popped Nat?
  12. I think Nat must be getting stitches
  13. Nat bleeding all over and they don't pay any attention. Lots of holding and elbows being thrown. I'm about ready to scream at a ref
  14. Looks like the refs had a long week as well
  15. Jess with 14, the rest of the team 2
  16. Must have been a rough finals week
  17. What happened to RB43?
  18. I looked back at SDSUs schedule and they lost to ND by 11 (or thereabouts) and Maryland by 7. DePaul shot over 50% from the field and still lost.
  19. Going outside of the scope of my original post - a surprise to me with other teams would be those SDSU Jackrabbits! Wouldn't want to run into them in the NCAA tournament. Downed #16 DePaul last night by 9 points. Same DePaul team that lost to ND by 5 and hung with UConn and Baylor for a while.
  20. I've been thinking that if Jess could knock down a 10 footer or two in a game, that may help out her double/triple team situation a bit.
  21. Just thought I'd get everyone's opinions. These could be pleasant surprises, or maybe surprises that we aren't a little better at something. I would say I'm pleasantly surprised with Blackburn and the emergence of Havers. Also that Anya has gotten some decent minutes and has done well. I think our defense needs work, and hopefully Clark finds her shot when we get into conference play. I would like to see Jess finishing better around the basket (this is probably due to the fact my expectations were a bit higher for her as a freshman than they are for most freshman).
  22. CHERRY BOMB!!!
  23. Just a little southern rock and I'm not the oldest person here.
  24. Lita Ford opening for 38 Special
