  1. Sorry, I was kidding with the Dennis Hopper guess. Shooter's son is the player that got in a fight at one of the games. I'm trying to remember his name. Can you give a hint, like in what scene do they mention his real name?
  2. Dennis Hopper?!!!! Do they use the name in the movie, or is it just listed in the credits? Great trivia question.
  3. Good points. 2 and 3 are one in the same. If we can defend the low post without having to double down, we can lock up on 3 point shooters. Alex Maric gave us the ability to do that and I thought we defended well Doc's first year. It went downhill after that because of a lack on someone who could guard the block one on one.
  4. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 18m18 minutes ago Miles said he’s confident Anton Gill will be ready for the start of the season. Roby’s return date still unclear Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 21m21 minutes ago Tim Miles said Anton Gill is “a couple weeks out” from practicing, and Isaiah Roby is "about a month out.” Gill had procedure on knee.
  5. Miles said Ed Morrow might be most powerful guy on team. Said he powers through Jordy all the time in practice, and that’s not a knock on JT 1 retweet1 like Reply Retweet 1 Like 1 More Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 11m11 minutes ago Miles said Tai Webster could play 1-2-3 this season, and Glynn Watson could play both 1-2. Evan Taylor can also play the 1 or 2. 0 retweets0 likes Reply Retweet Like More Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 13m13 minutes ago Miles said he’s not as much worried about Tshimanga’s conditioning, it’s staying out of foul trouble. 6. "McPipe line" Clever!
  7. I agree with all the points mentioned, but to me the biggest issue is being able to defend the block. If Jordy, MJ and Morrow can give us that, I think we will be a much improved team.
  8. I think he chose UC-Davis over Indiana State and Denver U. I believe the Huskers wanted him to walk-on.
  9. Has anyone else heard that we are starting to cool on Chang?
  10. That is correct, his Dad is the AD. I figured NU had to know about him.
  11. Yeah, the year is correct! Not sure that NU even knows about him (I believe Creighton has watched him) but he played varsity as a 7th grader. Saw him play a little this summer and might be their best player as an 8th grader, You would not think he was that young if you did not know it, looked like a Senior! Never know how these young phenoms develop but really one to keep your eye on. He is about 6' 5" now, so I'm guessing he will grow.

  13. A great shooter. Should help Chadron a ton.
  14. I always said the same thing. Create a major for those athletes that are interested in a career in their sport.
  15. I always find it strange that after a couple of weeks of basketball in the summer all of these offers start pouring in but nothing before even from the home state schools. Does anyone know if he has qualified yet? (Teddy Allen)

  17. All the donuts and Mountain Dew I wanted! I would come off a 3-11 shift just wired! The early weekend mornings were tough coming off the usual Friday and Saturday night activities!
  18. As a Mr. Donut employee during my college days I would say that sounds about right.
  19. To me it sounds like White is saying I don't want to be the main guy for Nebraska so I want to go some place where my teammates can help me get to the NBA. Really? How many NBA players were just role players feeding off their teammates in college? Leaving this late is nothing but a selfish move.
  20. Holy crap! Why hadn't I heard of this kid before??? That's really impressive freshman and sophomore mix tape. I would tweak some things on his jumper. He gets that left elbow winging out there a bit too much, which is going to affect his balance. But all in all, that's a kid with some talent and athleticism in the same package. Great ball skills. Seems to have the knack for that kiss off the glass that kids either seem to have or not have. He has it. Would like to see more what he can do in the mid-level off the dribble, like dribble to the elbow jumpers. Would also like to see more of what he can do in the passing department. But from an athlete standpoint and his ball handling, he's clearly upper D-1 material assuming he continues to develop. Thanks for that link, Noah. Like Art said, he has some issues. I believe he was relegated to JV ball last year.
  21. So on The Drive yesterday, Washut said that White wants to go to a team where he will serve MORE as a three-point specialist like he would in the NBA... A better team where he'd have a specific role, versus here where'd he'd be asked to do a lot more. I ran into Gandolfo's in the middle of the segment, so I missed some of it, but that's the gist of what I heard. So he wants to come off the bench only when his team struggles to hit shots and maybe get 10-15 minutes a game and less when his "team" is playing well. Good luck with that. He needs to go back to Kansas. He can go right back to his old role when he left. He should have talked to Coach Miles about benching him if he wants the true NBA experience.
