  1. So many great memories with Kent. I suspect when my life flashes before my eyes, Gary Sadlemyer and Kent Pavelkas voices will precede those of my family and friends. Right after the voices of Milt and Dan Young. What an experience to hear Dan Young talk. That dude probably never wanted the post game chatter/radio job but holy smokes what a voice. He could have retired and gone radio full time with that baritone. Fixing fence with my Grandpa while listening to AM radio and rooting for the good guys won't go out of style, ever. Here's hoping Kent will be rocking the latest dance next season with Miracle Matt.
  2. She really played well this season and was a very valuable player for the Waves. Sounds like she's very happy about this job. Best of luck to her. That smile!
  3. That was one of my very favorites to attend living out there. So many great games. Who impressed?
  4. The only scenario where I would think the OP's friends are onto something is if our AD is Lucy and Coach Miles is Charlie Brown.
  5. Another lesson on why I love following this team. They never quit and they play hard. I'm not sure it gets any better for a Husker fan than last night. BRAVO!
  6. That was fun to watch. Hope it's a confidence booster for all. I think it should be.
  7. Tear'a making those two big plays late then throwing the bones had me rollin'. What a fun game to watch.
  8. lol at Matt...don't run us off here ...they tried to take the crew's chairs.
  9. Tea's smile always makes me do the same. Light up a room and the stat sheet tonight.
  10. Shout-out to the Wisconsin cheerleader still going for it despite the knee brace.
  11. Enjoyed watching Smith/Cady connection. Love how Smith plays the game. Practical and hi IQ.
  12. Never miss a chance to hear Matt and Jeff call one.
  13. Cady I think is right up there on the list as GOAT all-around players for Nebraska.
  14. Has Wisconsin ever even played Nebraska at PBA? Big game, winnable game.
  15. imo, tea getting her shot back could very well mean the difference between an ok season and a good season. would be a huge deal to take some pressure off rachel. no secret---if i was an opposing team, right now i do everything to limit rachel (which they seem to be doing). Absolutely agree.
  16. Tea's shot looks different than last year when she was shooting it well. She's throwing the ball across over her shoulder a little I think and 'throwing' vs. 'shooting'. The PSU game is still up on ESPN3...tried to get a good screenshot but not practical on this machine ...just wasn't clear. But that's what's been bugging me about her shot this season. She gets that stroke back and sky's the limit for her professionally.
  17. Great team win. Enjoy watching these girls play some hoops. Wish I could watch these seniors play another four years for the Huskers. And braids too of course. Happy birthday to the birthday girls too! Oh, and since Allie didn't decide to drop 17 again on these guys I'm going to humbly request she do so in the next game. And should say Emily Cady repeatedly...over and over again. So proud.
  18. Well deserved. I think this team can do great things. Can't wait for the next game.
  19. Always some drama isn't there.
  20. Superlatives. Despite it all they found a way. Love this team.
  21. What a great day to be a Husker fan. So proud.
  22. I thought Miles absolutely killed it. He is amazing with the press and very funny. There's nothing a journalist likes more than a guy who makes their jobs easier. Miles always gives them an angle of some kind in addition to his humor. They love him. The more I see, I wonder if Miles goes into every press appearance with a game plan.
  23. Also I found of great interest was a couple comments by KG23. She's WNBL final MVP two years running now and says that her WNBL contract is "significantly greater than her WNBA salary, plus she has a sponsorship with Peak Sport Australia, which wants her to help design a shoe when she returns." "Hopefully they’ll have a Kelsey Griffin shoe, fans love my red shoes, so I know they’ll be red." The red shoes are a holdover from her days at Nebraska, where she was the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2010. http://www.adn.com/article/20140830/basketball-pro-griffin-hit-youth-camp
  24. JHoop led her Besiktas Black Eagles to victory 75-73 with 24 points and 14 rebounds this last week. http://www.bjk.com.tr/en/news/59720/lady_eagles_sneak_by_edirne_belediye_75_73_in_final_tournament_game.html Down under, Zeroes' West Coast Waves spoiled KG23 and Chelsea Aubry's preseason home tourney stand as they put one on the defending champ Spirit 75-54. http://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au/story/2619090/spirit-thumped-by-waves-in-spring-shield-final/?cs=2459 FTA: Import point guard Lindsey Moore was superb, with 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.
  25. Very true Norm, very Raven. I'm not quite sure what "That's so Raven" means though.
