Anyone know that 590 carries the Coach Fran Hawkeye basketball show at 7pm? Weird to hear this on omaha 590. How long has this been carried? Wish we could get uno, unl or creighton focus for the state rather than Iowa. Just my thoughts

Well said on tai coming off bench. What blows my mind is why ray wasn't able to have a field day with the focusing on the lanes. I would have thought he walkups have a wide open three ball party. Wragge waited for the kick out and buried us.

We have everything we need now we need some wins. We need to beat some of the big name teams this year to generate the momentum. Osu, michigan, michigan state. Beating Illinois, Iowa , northwestern etc is cute but Tim needs that program changing win to really get top recruits attention.

Raid sker I couldn't agree more it was almost like after the first few minutes it was like they were so stunned they didn't listen and focus until after halftime. I agree with the press that should give teams problems and we have athletes to do it. Two awesome dunks by to tonight

No one should be negative towards coach miles. He has a young team and remember the juco transfers we have are to fill some holes while he recruits. Just think how bad we would be without walter, tp and Biggs. Got to give him time and it is one loss. I can promise you this from what I have heard and saw tonight from our staff we will be fine. I have sat down low and close to collier and doc and trust me we had a plan and some good calls. Unfortunately we didnt make shots and attack the rim. Better days ahead just sucks to lose to them

He warmed up and didnt play. My real concern was when the scrum happened. The team got up and then huddles. He sat alone in the nu bench for a few months. One of the managers/non coaching staff waived him over and he dragged himself to the edge of the huddle. Very weird obviously he wouldn't have been a game changer for tonight just weird to see a guy who has had some good moments for us stay on the bench.

Guys this is a pointless thread. Everyone knows Gibbs is a moron but this thread should not highlight the night. We got beat, Gibbs is a punk but lets move on.

It was very puzzling. Everytime he grabbed a sub it was attack the rim. Yet jump shot city happened. Tai has all the talent but if he has any thoughts at being a great player he must remain mentally tough. The way he swiped away from miles prior to the half was unacceptable and he should be running at 5 am. Again I ask where has David rivers gone? Is he a game changer no but he should contribute in some ways especially defensively.

I think the team was ready they are young and a veteran team went right at them. We settled down way to late. Unfortunately when you stop attacking the rim and settle for all jump shots that miss and they crush threes it gets ugly. I can tell you tim and the staff kept preaching live at the rim. The team was stubborn and got our butt kicked

Biggs, Tai and ray body language at times was brutal. Ray looked lost and like a freshman. Biggs and Tai must grow up quickly. They were easily flustered and were whining every time they came to the bench. Dougie was as good as advertised. Gibbs is a punk and needs to realize without Doug this team would be shit.

Had the opportunity to be two rows behind the nu bench. They were into it early before the game but showed their youth in first four minutes. They got punched and never really recovered until it was to late. Tim kept telling TP and Tw to live at the rim. The coaches kept challenging them to not settle for jump shots. Ray looked bad from a body language and was disappointed as he is supposed to lead. Like smith and Walt really trying to get the guys up. Tai showed his frustrations and swung away from Tim at the end of the first half. The scrum was unfortunate but two players going after a ball and I thought it was good hustle that led to a few tempers flaring up. Puzzling why rivers doesn't see any time. He sat and did not join the team in the final huddle. I like Rivers an he can rebound and defend in my opinion. He brings a lunch bucket attitude and I feel should earn some minutes. Anyone know why he is in the miles doghouse Line of the night: Eichorst left to go get food at halftime and came back a few minutes later into 2nd half. Tim saw him and said wow I am shocked you didn't leave yet. There has to be a better game on out in the lobby. SE just laughed. I do like how tim gets after the team and tells them how it is. Bad start to the game but hope we can learn from it and move on. Love the huskers and we will have better days.does sick to lay an egg. I also feel that the 1% of crappy negative Husker football fans are creighton basketball fans. Some trashy comments made by many in their lower bowl. A lot of comments about helicopters? Any idea what that would be about or were they just hammered?

Jays are beatable. I think this team is prepared to go in an steal a win. Will they? No clue Doug is an unbelievable player and protects his house. We must get back in transition. The last ten minutes were sloppy last night defensively. We will not have a 15point lead as comfort. We allow their shooters to get wide open threes in transition a close game turns into a route in the blink of an eye. That building can be lame for an environment at times but if they get on a run and crowd roaring......we will get run out of the building. Hope we D up

It was a failure from a wins and losses side. I think it is good though tht we got a win an Tim can get into practice this week and show the guys. Look when you play D and you are screwed by the refs you can play with anyone. UMASS will make a run in march and we were right there with them. Can we correct the mistakes? Time will tell but we are better prepared for the next 3 games and conference from this tourney.

Winning today will help them. An 0-3 weekend would be tough with a week off. Need to come out sharp this weekend leading into Miami and Creighton.

For anyone who questions coach miles at all is an absolute joke. Guys he had to bring in some transfers or this year would have been terrible. Where would we be without these guys? We would have gone 0-3 on the year. If anyone here felt we should be an NCAA this year you are one of those guys tim Beck mentioned who never leaves the basement. Guys we have an explosive scoring team that needs some defensive discipline. I truly feel that will come. Lets not be to high or to low with this team. Stay the course and just know we have a coach who is working his tail off to shut up every person who picked us last. This is one of the better teams we have has in my opinion and we look like a real basketball team. In the last decade we have run out guys who could barely walk, ex managers, 300+ pounders etc. If we had.a true big man we would really have a better shot at a special year but that will in the future. Now this team has the ability to make this season special but we have no idea what we will do in the big ten. I do know that we can compete with anyone and I do not expect any ugly 30 point blow outs anymore with this team. Enjoy this awesome arena we have and this passionate coach. Vent but remember we will lose games ...Louisville got beat today by unc who lost to Belmont. Pitino should just stop the season and move on;) I'm excited for the rest of this year and the future. We have a coach who wants to be here and defense can be taught and those breakdowns fixed. You can't teach athleticism and explosiveness. We have both! Most importantly enjoy your holiday guys and be thankful. Lost my grandmother last night and will be watching from gamecast this weekend!
