  1. Andre Woolridge might make a better analogy than Chauncey.
  2. Ditto. What was his field of study?
  3. I don't think ESPN will be happy with this statement unless NU makes Frost read it on his knees. But honestly, has anyone the faintest idea how all this might come out in the Spring assuming any sports of any kind are played. Will March Madness compete with college football on the tube? Shouldn''t all of the conferences try to coordinate their responses to be consistent? Or is that being too rational? What a mess.
  4. But maybe one in 2021....newer article https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2020/06/25/basketball/confidence-ambition-power-keisei-tominaga-toward-promising-u-s-future/
  5. Aha, I was right. Lived in Lawrence while an undergrad and lived in Manhattan (and bought our first home) while commuting to Ft. Riley for 2 years. Both are nice places to live, but not as nice as Lincoln. About Omaha I am not so sure. Good luck to him.
  6. Pretty good finale. Does anyone know where Heady is going in Kansas? I probably have been there already.
  7. Exactly what was Rosenthal's title at UNL anyway?
  8. Sort of a "Big Country" type. Now, he just needs to flatten off the haircut.
  9. Which is an anagram for "Husky Matrons". Bring on the Shim-shams!
  10. Good rule-of-thumb: Never trust the eyeball evaluation of even the most astute HHC poster. Example: I saw Paul Millsap play in the Ameritas Classic at BDSC for Lousiana Tech in 2005 and posted that he was the most overrated player I had seen play at BDSC. He is still playing in the NBA.
  11. Could that be a sweater vest I see? He could model them, if not.

  13. Just heard the Ivy League cancelled all sports until January. Wonder how many other leagues will follow and how this will effect the NCAA basketball field picks since the Ivy League actually wins games occasionally there.
  14. All I found was that he attended a CWS game in Omaha while he lived in Nebraska, so I'll guess Omaha. Wanted to play hockey originally so must have been a city big enough to have a hockey rink.
  15. If the sanctions are too restrictive, KU will burn the original Naismith Rules of Basketball in protest.
  16. Huskerpapa: I remember our party line call was three rings, but nobody cared since everyone knew that everyone else on the line picked up any ring. You could tell how dull your conversation was by the number of quiet "clicks" you heard as people gradually hung up. That included the operator who listened in to everyone in town when she was bored.
  17. As Roy Scheider once said, "We're gonna have to get a bigger cord".
  18. What's a flip-phone? I have a land line with a dial.
  19. I think that's because instead of "staff", he meant to type "stuff".
  20. And not only is he a bit short, but finding him shoes that fit will be problematic.
  21. Succinct and cryptic.

  23. I believe that is the way the coronavirus mortality models are being determined as well.
  24. It seems like Fred's recruiting method uses the pot- of- spaghetti approach. Cook up a bunch of expensive pasta, throw it against the wall, and wait to see which strands stick.
