  1. There's all sorts of stuff I can do with it really. I think my hangup has been that I've been thinking of this in terms of it being double work when in fact I think I might be able to somewhat avoid that. I still need to noodle on it.
  2. I think I have tagged every offer for 2022. https://huskerhoopscentral.com/tags/2022/ I know I can go beyond that for organizing but I'm not sure I can do so in a sustainable manner. For example, this is me spinning up the very old recruiting database thing most people never knew about. https://huskerhoopscentral.com/recruiting/nebrasketball-2022-23-recruits/ Basically it is a way to organize recruits more like a recruiting database while also tying in our commentary. I just don't know how useful and/or necessary this is.
  3. Occasionally I run into Doc and for whatever reason I'm still star struck by the guy and never know what to say. I think I need to think of the right sort of question to ask him about Ping.
  4. I don't think Standy and Neiman played together. I think Neiman was from Northern Germany and he thought that Standhardinger was 'a weirdo from the southern black forest area' or something like that. Sort of funny how we tend to think that if guys are from the same country they get along when they might have less in common than they do with their non-countrymen.
  5. I think i remember almost the exact same thing except he tried some sort of awkward running layup.
  6. I actually office with Neiman. He's certainly a different cat. I actually recommended they should look to hire the guy and it's worked out well. Wish his wife was 6'4"
  7. Wood is on campus already. So is Andre. That's quite helpful for getting them up to speed.
  8. Game winning play This thing where the tweets are shrunk in length is pretty annoying
  9. Hell of a play by Baskonia to get the game winner. Congrats Shavon!
  10. Working for me here. https://www.ftfnext.com/ Shaved head Shavon is an acquired taste. They just had a discussion that Shavon's father was a professional American football player.
  11. From the same high school as Glynn Watson, St Joes His father recently passed. He threw the assist to Keith Smart for the game winner in Indiana's national championship in 1987 https://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/western-springs/sports/ct-dws-boys-basketball-kyle-thomas-st-joseph-montini-tl-1219-20191216-3tjxbdfgj5hyvoosdnqnlviuom-story.html
  12. Reclassified from 2021 to 2020. We didn't make his final 8.
  13. Would you play Sallis and Hepburn at the same time or is Wisky recruiting over the top of Chucky?
  14. The wisconsin message board that I visited didn't know anything either and he's been silent on social media since it was announced he wasn't coming here.
  15. See, to me it's Walker's two years at Tennessee and a year as a redshirt that makes me think he is more of a known commodity than Mayan who had a partial season at TCU and then one at JUCO. Combine that with Mayan weighing just shy of 210 and it becomes very hard to picture him guarding centers in the B1G unless he has superior rebounding, shot blocking and/or shooting attributes. He certainly has more range than either Yvan or Walker but I just don't think it's going to be enough to displace the girth those guys bring. Why else are we still recruiting traditional centers? Hopefully we shall see.
  16. I will go out on a limb and say Lat will play very little at the 5 and that a combination of Yvan and Walker will be on the court over 90% of the time.
  17. 6'8" PF from Gary, Indiana http://verbalcommits.com/players/jalen-washington-in #13 in this video
  18. Evan Taylor seems like a good comparison for skills I think. The other part of Taylor was his personality/presence. We'll find out what Wood brings in that department.
  19. Malin Akerman - I know her as Silk Spectre from the Watchmen. Reclassed and committed to Louisville
  20. Andre checks in at 9:39 mark Tries a post move against future Pitt Panther Max Amadasun and is shut down Had a fancy looking spin move that didn't end well but a lot of hustle to get back and try and make a play on D. Great pick and roll to the rim, gets owned by Amadasun Lutheran scores so fast that Andre gets a dunk off a 2 on 1 when they break back. Pick and roll again, Andre tries to avoid the Amadasun block and travels Out at the 15:00 mark 19:00 Slias Sunday in to start the 2nd quarter (big dood #24) Andre back in at 26:11 Steps in front of a pass in a zone and starts the break towards the end of the half Sunday accidentally clocks Andre in the head. Makes both FTs. Andre picks up a questionable foul. End of the first half. A holy shit dunk by St John's 6'0" PG commit Posh Alexander worth watching at the 55:00 minute mark Andre back in at 102:20 Gets an over the back foul Defends against a pick well, steals the ball from a guard. Is able to compose himself when chased down by a wolf and finishes. Impressive. Out at 1:09
  21. Here is a link for more of AZ Compass Prep's videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS9rv1_x9tz3jH8aOQqFpzQ/search?query=compass Not sure if they get any run but here is AZ Compass vs Our Saviour Lutheran which has class of 2022 offers (11) Ibine Ayo Sadiku and (24) Silas Sunday
  22. For as much as I wonder about Wood I also wonder if he's more skilled in a position of need than Arop and thus will get more playing time.
  23. He comes in just after 12:30 in the video. He can absolutely run the floor and finish. He's also very long. I suspect his wingspan is over 7'. Had a nice outlet. Otherwise sort of a mess. Rebounding seems weak. Shotblocking without fouling didn't seem there yet. Setting picks an not understanding how to do it without fouling. He left after playing part of the first period with either 2 or 3 fouls. Back in at 27:40 Had a nice left-handed drive from the 3pt line though that is his dominant hand. Got a guy to travel with his length. More of the same in terms of weak rebounding and not necessarily understanding what he needs to do. At the 35:00 mark the coach for the opposing team gets T-ed up twice and then the assistant gets T-ed up twice and they just call the ball game in quarter 2. Some AAU level mickey mouse refereeing there lol. I'll see if I can flip up some other videos. I very much understand why we recruited this guy: he has the physical ability to be the rim protecting, fast break running complimentary center that we want. No idea when or if he develops into that. This would be the one guy in the longest time would consider redshirting if we think he's going to improve.
