  1. Other details Was a full 40 minutes scrimmage like a regular game The last two possessions were: two missed FTs and missed layup at the buzzer Nebraska left a lot of points out there in terms of missed FTs and missed layups Essegian and Morgan were the first two off the bench, Gavin was 8th, Ulis was 9th. Juwan was off on offense. Berke and Essegian are subpar defenders. Nebraska was out-physicaled by Utah
  2. Points Starters Williams - 20 Berke - 9 Gary - 5 Worster - 4 Meah - 3 Bench Essegian - 18 Morgan - 9 Griffiths - 3 Ulis- 2 Made 3s Williams - 3 Essegian - 3 Berke - 1 Griffiths - 1
  3. Interesting result
  4. Really the question is whether or not we need those types of games to figure out our team because it's not like playing a tougher schedule and then losing those games is some sort of great alternative to playing a weak non-con. Our non-con does limit our exposure to meaningful win possibilities but at this point the B1G looks like most every game will be meaningful for making the tourney.
  5. You missed your chance to project where he'd slot into the starting lineup for next season
  6. On the other hand it was also the type of schedule that got us into the tournament last year
  7. It would seem that Rollie Worster hit four 3s in the first half of the scrimmage at the PBA. The guy has never made more than three in a game in his entire career.
  8. You can wrestle in up to 5 dates as a freshman without losing a year of eligibility. As far as football vs any other sport, it seems like the reasoning for allowing to keep a year despite playing in 4 games might center around football having the highest injury rate. You're a lot more likely to have to play a few snaps or a few games because a bunch of guys got injured at your position.
  9. We have so much length this season that Juwan Gary got bumped from the back row to a chair with the guards
  10. Nebraska men’s basketball team will host a free Red/White scrimmage at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Sunday, Oct. 13. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. and the Devaney Center will have a reduced capacity for the event with approximately 6,000 seats available. Concession stands will be open, and gates will open one hour before the scrimmage. The scrimmage itself will be a full-game simulation. Free parking will be available for the scrimmage in the lots around the Devaney Center and on Innovation Campus. Claim your tickets here View full article
  11. Audio if you wan to hear Kent and Jake's takes https://huskerhoopscentral.com/2024-25/RadioBroadcasts/2024-10-13 Red-White Scrimmage.mp3
  12. Combined this is 1 inch of height taller than the Red team Probably the best way to put this is to say this is the most length we've had since the Rich King era
  13. Theoretically you might want Meah as a starter because he is a 49% FT shooter so you don't want him in there at the end
  14. In 1989-90 we had a few lineups with 7'2" Rich King 6'9" Richard van Poelgeest 6'9" Carl Hayes 6'2" Clifford Scales and possibly 6'7" Ray Richardson Hard to find box scores
  15. Am just realizing that volleyball has a 7pm game at the Bob tonight
  16. The format gave you 60 seconds however there were not racks on the corners because of space constraints. Thus, instead of shooting 25, they shot 15. I forget who from the women's team shot first, but she was firing them away and it became very obvious you could take your time. Connor and Gavin both hit 11 in the first round while Brice I think hit either 9 or 10 out of 15. None of the women hit over 11. I think Britt Prince might have hit 8-10. Connor and Gavin went again. Connor got 11. Gavin got 12 in 14 attempts and then dunked ball #15.
  17. The 1981 team of Nebraska high school players that played as Nebraska's team in a club tournament, the Las Vegas Invitational, in 1981. All the players had just finished their junior year of high school. From left, back row, Calvin Sprew, Mike Martz, Kerry Trotter, Bill Jackman, Dave Hoppen, Vic Lazzaretti, James Moore, Ron Kellogg and Mark Diaz. Sitting, Matt Peterson, co-sponsor Dick Hudson of Lincoln, assistant coach Dick Koch of Omaha Northwest, head coach Mick Anderson of Wahoo, assistant coach Terry Shelsta of Omaha Benson, co-sponsor Gary Mouden of Lincoln, trainer Dave Schultz of Grand Island and Calvin Cotton.
  18. Football helmets have their own designed brand that I would assume is because that's how it's always been. Here is the most recent brand guide. If we're going to use the Rockwell N instead of the Iron N for courts, put it in the guide. https://licensing.unl.edu/sites/unl.edu.university-communication.licensing/files/media/file/FINAL-23-Brand-Guide.pdf
