  1. It's interesting after watching a year with a very talented Bryce McGowens (or Oho St last year) that talent and results are being used interchangeably here.
  2. The upside to coaching continuity is that you are able to land guys like this before they potentially rate out to a more prestigious program
  3. To me it was watching Diop in person and noticing his speed and hops relative to everyone else on the court. No idea if he can actually play but can see him outrunning opposing centers and even some guards on the break and protecting the rim on defense. I think we have fairly good depth at the post where redshirting him seems like a good possibility and in terms of him replacing Oleg as a center project I think we've upgraded. Tremendous end roster pickup.
  4. Dube looked great until he attempted a hook shot against Copeland in the opening scrimmage.
  5. It's safe to say that Allick has recovered from his off-season surgery
  6. There is no debate. We take Diop.
  7. Diop is a freak. 7-3 wingspan, jumping out of the gym, and ran like a gazelle down the court on drills. I probably could have said a lot of the same things about Dube Okeke so we'll see how he looks in our first exhibition game.
  8. Blaise and Ramel sitting this one out
  9. I think they're running JL at PG but they started that before we signed Boogie because we need the depth. However I think that Boogie is the one starting (at least to begin the season).
  10. I'll be there to cover the action
  11. Doesn't seem contrarian at all to conclude that taking (and making) 3s is important even if that importance is to opening up shots in the paint.
  12. The one thing I can guarantee is that Wilhelm Breidenbach won't miss any shots in the 3pt contest this year.
  13. We didn't take very many 3s last season and played at a slower pace. We took 657 3s which works out to approximately 20.5 per game. In Fred's first year we played at a very fast pace and took a higher % of 3s, 796 in total, approximately 24.9 per game I'd think that 700 is the floor on attempts for this year. Depending on the number of game we play, the school record of 800 attempts might be on the table.

  16. North Carolina is the surprising one on this list
  17. Yes! It's Michael Jacobson / Cale Jacobsen and somehow I correctly had that on my first attempt
  18. I knew I should have said Cale
  19. Who plays the most minutes this season out of Ulis, Keita, and Jacobsen?
  20. Correct, this isn't our Matar
