The good thing is win Sunday and we’ve all but sealed it. The goal differential between us and Costa Rica is 7 right now with two games to play. That’s pretty beneficial for us.

Everything else really was pretty bang bang and at home you are going to get a lot of those calls.

I don’t know man, I’ve watched it like 50 times. Trey runs by him and he looks like he tries to draw a foul and trips over his own feet, then takes 3 steps to the basket where trey comes down on him. Trey is running across his legs, that doesn’t propel you forward like tripping on your own feet does. I have no problem with the flagrant being called, I’ve seen plenty of plays like that in college and pro being called either a 1 or 2. But I do think the trip that proceeded it was kind of weak.

I’m not saying don’t enjoy this and focus on next year, I’m making a point that we could have some great pieces coming back mixed in with what’s coming in.

And that’s fair I suppose, I’ve been a big fan of his since his move to Heracles. He’s been performing very well in a top league at a position we need depth, especially creative depth if someone like mckennie or munsah go down. And I personally rate him far higher than a leget or an Ariolla or a yueill all guys that seem to pop up as our midfield backup.

FINALLY Luca gets on the field and shows why he needs to be in the 23 going forward, dude has been a creative revelation at midfield in the Dutch league which is known for its attacking style. Every time he touched the ball it was filled by a dangerous pass or using his speed to stretch the field. Him and Weah played so well together all game.

Greg’s poor player selection showed here today, he got out coached bad and for the second straight game we had very poor distribution in the final third. Our lack of bringing a quality striker (Pepi could get there but the kid is young and trying to adjust to a much better league) but old stone foot Zardes and bringing Ferreira to play as a false 9? (Really difficult system to run without a true stud up top) just boggles my mind. We probably are still going to qualify, but we have to win our last two home games. Help from Mexico and Jamaica would help a ton today as well.

He looks tired, he’s played 3 different positions for a Chelsea team that is in a rut. He’s also getting the shit kicked out of him and especially with CONCACAF competition he’s going to continue to get beat up. Time will tell but Canada is missing some key pieces, if we play smart I see a W. They are a counter attacking team, if we don’t give the ball away carelessly in the midfield I think we’ll have plenty of chances to score.
