  1. Please don't say Ray G. & Co. Instead, say Petteway and Co.; Ray Gallegos severely upset me on Sunday. Am I the only one that though he was pouting and playing lethargic? Pretty sure he was upset he didn't start. Just food for thought.
  2. Nebraska-65 Michigan St.-60
  3. That miniature dachshund head is a staple at these games. Love seeing that thing for every home game. They need to have that thing attached to the Wiener Schlinger which, by the way, upsets me that it has not been used this year. Hopefully that dachshund continues to "hound" the opponents. (Yes, PUN intended)
  4. That shirt is at the store in PBA. Also, Champs in Omaha at Westroads has a few Nebraska Basketball shirts by Adidas I have never seen before.
  5. Has the University ever had a giveaway? I have notice a lot of colleges have done something like this in the past. TCU just gave away sweater vests to all who attended, and apparently it was done because their coach wears them quite often. It seems like the basketball fans would appreciate something like this. Thoughts?
  6. Danny Née would be great, as long as it came with a bottle of moose in order to slick that lizard's hair back. Looks like he already has one.
  7. http://sports.omaha.com/2014/01/10/mad-chatter-ameers-chance-to-lead-calling-out-husker-basketball-fans-creighton-stats/#.UtA7BdJdVCI I'm not sure if this has been posted, but I do think he has a point. Last night our fans didn't show up until they very tail end of the game. Can we honestly say our fans care about winning, or are we just fascinated with a shiny new arena? I know that all of us care about it, but are Nebraska fan so absorbed in the culture of football that they can't wrap their heads around the concept of a winning basketball team. While our fans do show class, we severely lack the ideology of how to act at a big time basketball game. Once again, I am addressing general fans. It annoys me when I have a guy turn to me and say I hope they run the option on this play to get the win ( yes this was said to me); granted it was a joke, but get over football when you're in the damn Bank. For god sake's Michigan was in town, and we can't have the crowd be on their feet for a majority of the game? It is severely frustrating that not all are "N" to create an environment that opposing players are scared shitless to come into.
  8. I've looked on a couple Louisville message boards. Not a whole lot is being said. One poster said that they thought he'd easily be the first one to transfer this year. Should be interesting to see what happens with this. I can't imagine Pitino begging him to come back, for Louisville probably doesn't need him to be successful in the grand scheme of things.
  9. Do students even go to the Zoo Bar? I'm not far removed from college, only 3 years, and I never once went to the Zoo Bar. And Gate 25 sucks. I will never support a bar Matt Davison owns. The guy is an a$$ and a d-bag.
  10. I do have to say, the miniature dachshund fathead that one of the students holds is pretty funny. He's usually behind the hoop in the first row. Anyone else notice this?
  11. Nebraska Wesleyan...wet campus. I'm sure some swimming events could take place there in order to get UNL students to come. 200 meter butterfly and a bud light, couldn't ask for anything else on a Sunday afternoon.
  12. Completely wrong
  13. Very foolish if they do not start selling beer. Missed opportunity for A LOT of revenue. Kegs are cheap to buy in bulk. Add in a price tag of 7 bucks a beer; it's pretty stupid of the University of Nebraska to not allow sales of alcohol. We need to stop living in the past. T.O. needs to have his hands completely out of everything with the athletic department before we see sales of alcohol happen. This is just my opinion which I will probably be blasted for. Good game yesterday though. Would've been nice to have a refreshing beer to enjoy while watching.
  14. or...Break Open the Bank. I will be having red crew neck sweatshirts being made echoing the same sentiment.
  15. Breaking Open the Bank
  16. Take it for what it's worth. My buddy works for NU equipment and he said it's happening. Also, I was at Husker Hounds today and asked the clerk if they had any Nebraska Basketball apparel. He pointed me to a small section with shirts...and then he said, "Wait, we just got in the new official basketball shorts." I wander over there, and what do I see....Red shorts, black shorts, and grey shorts for the official basketball shorts. Take it for what it's worth.
  17. I've heard mentions that there could possibly be a black or grey jersey in the works for this year. Thoughts?
  18. I really hope you are joking. Yes, Under Armour makes adequate clothing. However, have you ever wore a pair of their basektball, baseball, or football shoes? They are complete crap. They fall apart and are not comfortable at all. UA basketball shoes are like wearing card board boxes on your feet. Probably because they're made by little Indonesian kids forced to work 16-hour days in grimy sweatshops while chained to their looms and fed nothing but rice, tofu and water. My thoughts exactly Norm....my thoughts exactly
  19. sorry hhcdimes...my fault, thanks for the update, appreciate that bud (sarcasm)..It was a mere example. Enjoy your day.
  20. He's good, and he will draw a very large crowd. I see why they picked him. There will be a wide range of ages that can/will attend his show. You're not going to get an 80 year old lady out to see PINK or Jason Aldean. However, Buble will attract this age group and a lot of other ages as well.
  21. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-college-football/22172774/ncaa-rules-committee-bans-hash-tags-urls-from-football-fields Interesting ruling done by the NCAA. I do not agree with it. What is wrong with promoting your team/university. I realize this is discussing football, but I imagine it would carry to other sports? Maybe not though. Very interesting read, especially towards the end.

  23. http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/dollars/post/_/id/3390/why-are-colleges-at-odds-with-adidas I found this to be an interesting article. It's good to see that colleges are not going to tolerate/be associated with manufacturers that are not paying their workers. This manufacturer just so happens to be Adidas. Now, I know NIKE has had their fair share of these instances as well, but I found this interesting because Nebraska is an Adidas school. This article talks a lot about Michigan and Wisconsin.
