I agree he can play a role, but if you are relying on a guy like Thor to go above his ceiling which he has hit, its not gonna happen. You hope you have more talented players then him playing moving forward

Can it get worse? Less then 15 wins in 2 years. Doc and Barry accomplished more. Im starting to worry. You cant keep overhauling the roster but this team lacks shooters. If you are gonna continue to play the way Fred wants you better get talent or adapt to the conference. I get Covid and how good the conference is but like fb, its the stupid things that are frustrating.

Im good with this except Lakes. Im not sure he would leave after 1 year especially since he wasnt supposed to play this yeat but we'll see. Yeah not much players that are starters. I feel that players they got in lieu of them were upgrades

I agree but what players have left that have really gone on to do much or be a key player at another school or a starter that improved their situation? I cant think of any and these were starters here so did we miss out on much besides seeing potential?

Holy crap i forgot about Woods. Either way you need to keep a core group and get stsrt getting freshman and develop. I domt thing turning over the roster every year is something that will work in the big 10

People will bring him up cause of he recent success here in getting to the tournament and having a couple other good seasons. I think Miles was good and seemed like a fit here cause of his enthusiasm, but he hit his ceiling. For the most part he got the most out of his talent or lesser talented players but couldnt land the players needed or keep the ones that may have helped turn the corner. Right now it seems like there are pieces but need to click together and play within the system if this team wants to win games.

2 seniors right now and you would think 2-3 players which is the norm. Hopefully no more than that as it would be another rebuild which isnt good right now.

Fred said he had been shooting well in practice and him and Stevenson were the 2 players that didnt have covid

This offense is offensive. Poor ball movement, poor movement, bad shots, no pick and roll or pop, too much create your own shot with no ball movement. This is disappointing even with the whole Covid stuff. I hope this team can somehow create offense cause its not lookimg good at all in this system

All I know is this offense is garbage. No pg play, lack of movement, horrible ball movement, the good 3's are misses, missed ft, bad pick and roles, isolations that lead to bad or missed shots at the rim. I dont get it. This team has regressed with more talent from last year.

Thats to be seen I guess. I felt the overall offense was much better at times when Teddy isnt being Teddy last game. When this teal shares the ball and attacks the rim they seem to be more ecfective. I think you need Teddy cause of what he can be, but when its running down the court when you have momentum going and chuck up a deep 3 with not one pass is the issue. If he can play more within the offense and not take shots that you can get anytimen he will be more effective

I dont think Teddy is a scapegoat. Its more does he fit this system based on his style of play. I dont think anyone is doubting his talents but what he shows does not fit Freds system.

Maybe its from the juco level of being the "man" or him having something to prove now,but his style and Freds style dont seem to mesh at this point.

Agreed, he seems like a better fit for Miles system. His dirty plays are getting kind of tired to. Im at the point where everytime he gets a foul Im expecting the worse. The punching yesterday was a bit stupid.

Just wondering what liability Teddy is right now. He just doesnt seem like a fit in this system and seems to stall out what this system should be. He was chucking deep 3's early in shot clock in 1st half, offensive fouls and to's, the team seems to just stand around when he gets the ball. He seemed to make unsmart plays early in the shot clock when NE gets momentum without passing. I dont know, just frustration maybe and you get the good with the bad and have to live with it. I dont think its just this game, its been most games. I know others havent hit shots but I feel maybe the relying on him has held others back.

No doubt, he seems more natural at the rim and on screen and roll. If he can get into game shape and provide what he has tonight Id feel good

Seriously from screens, pick and roll, defense, attacking the rim, scoring, he looks like a spark and a vital piece. Something about the way he plays that makes him look like a big 10 player then what we've had
