I've watched a lot of bad Nebrasketball over the past 25 years, but I dont think thru all the bad losses that I can recall a performance like this, especially the talent of the opponent. This is really sad considering the talent NE has or the talent we thought they have. The need shooters period and a threat of an inside game. This style wont work in this conference unless you hit shots. Im starting to think a true pg is needed as well.

Interesting note, Gary Sharp last week on his show spoke of someone he knows in MN talking about the husker game last season. He said during shoot around that 2 players absolutely "reeked". Oddly enough I assume those were the players who were sent home and no longer on the team.

After doubting Yvan early this season I will say he us now playing like i was expecting him to be in these last 2 games. Tbe issue now is Lat and what to do with him. Good to see Fred benched him in the 2nd half and didnt just ride with him due to more options.

Ive been watching and following this team for 26 years. Hes not my whipping boy. Merely giving my opinion on what I see. If that hurts your feelings and its only supposed to be rainbows and butterflies then my bad I guess. I get he is what we have right now. But as it stands he, right now, is not a fit for this system and hasnt shown progress. Having a capable 5 right now for this system is what is stopping this team from taking a leap.

I just dont see the value in Yvan, especially in this system. He cant hit inside layups, ft shooting suspect, and outside shooting. Hes just a body right now to try to get rebounds. I thought him slimming down would mean more explosion but havent seen it

Thats your opinion. I dont see any value with Yvan right now, he's trending. Theres just not enough pieces right now for this team

Problem with Lat is playing out of position and not having a 5 where he can play outside

Didnt mean Thor isnt power 5 but not playing the mins he does. He is a role player that shouldnt be starting and getting as many mins if this program wants to go where it needs to

Ive said it before and i'll say it again.....Yvan is a liability and not a power 5 conf player, at least not one deserving of more than 10 mins a game if that. Same with Thor. Say what you want and come at me with all the things he does, but if/when this program takes the next step they need more quality players which will hopefully come. The talent will need to be upgraded where players like Thor are bench players getting 12-15 mins. 8 man rotation isnt working with what we have right now. And god I hate Crayton

Agreed. Thor isnt giving much scoring wise starting. Webster IMO doesnt need to be a huge scorer.

I would like him to start at pg. The difference I feel from last year to this is speed. Curious what NE shot time per poss is this year to last. I love Banton and is super talented but not sure his role is best served at pg with this team and how Fred wants to play. Love to see Banton in more of a Roby role that can do everything but not be main ball handler.

Who cares about last year? This team on paper by vision is and should be more talented. Saying you have to execute is coachspeak. They should be winning these games. Im more upset over this loss then the Nevada loss.

Kentucky is not good right now. Tech also lost to 2 bad teams and is probably a bottom of the ACC team. This should of been a winnable game and a game that needs to be won to show progress this season IMO.
