I made the trip with a buddy in 2011 when the Skers played well, almost knocking of KU, ending their long home win streak. We decided it would be a good idea to get a drink or 2 prior to the 2:00ish tip, which turned into 4 or 5 beers each for lunch. I think we also packed a few shooters of some fire in our pockets as well. Really classy, I know. But, I'm hoping for a similar type of game today. KU came out flat that day, as did their fans. It was quiet for literally the first 30 minutes of play. The only noise was 2 drunk idiots and about 20 other husker fans scattered throughout the crowd, standing up at timeouts, pointing at each other like we all had a shared lottery ticket winner. Then....... it came. A KU run that was loud, fast....... and sobering. But, it was an amazing experience. Also, for as annoying as we probably were, the fans didn't say a word to us. Which was kind...... or a backhanded slap, meaning they wouldn't waste their time on some "Nebrasketball fans". Either way, I hope the boys/TM don't lose faith and enjoy the experience, and don't have their eyes too wide open today. GBR!

Also..... Did you see ET throw down that dunk on a dead-ball???? (I believe that was him) Might have been towards the end of the game when Jack got fouled on a break away??? Impressed with his size/handles. Great pick-up....... thus far.......

Agree with this 100%. Evelyn was far from a world beater in terms of talent but I think he could have been a solid player for us. Personally, I think his shooting percentages were so poor bc in the limited garbage time he recieved he was pushing too hard instead of letting the game come to him. And..... So far, Nebraska has a solid "A" grade on transfer players sitting out a year and coming back improved. I would think that year would have helped BE a lot red-shirting. I wonder if most schools see as big improvement from their players after sitting out a year in the program as Nebraska has???? Can't wait to see Gill tear it up

Evelyn should have taken his red-shirt last year.

Nick Fuller is a warm body...If we are going after someone, they need to be able to win playing time over what we already have. At this late date, I am unsure if that person exists. As a guard, I don't think Fuller can be considered a warm body. Yup....even though we have talent at the guard positions what happens when 1 of those 3 guys gets in foul trouble or injured? If we don't get another body that is serviceable, which is likely, and our three true guards stay healthy, I don't think we absolutely have to have another guard. Even if we have foul trouble, if we only have one of the them on the floor (let's say Tai) we could still have Jack/Roby play the 2/3. Can Jack guard a 2???? Maybe Roby will be solid defensively and can guard a 2. He looks to be long and quick to me. These guys don't have to bring the ball up the floor, unless we're in a press break, so I could see Miles going: Watson Roby Jack Morrow Jacobson Now that is a fun line-up! Is it do-able.... yes. Would it work???? IDK......

So, next year's starting lineup.

Who I forgot to add was Horne. I see Morrow/Jacobson taking up 50-55 minutes total, consistently @ the 4...4/5 spots, so with 25/30 minutes left you have Jordy/HORNE/Fuller. To begin with, all 3 will get a shot to fill the other 25/30. Hopefully it's mostly Jordy, but if he can't handle it, I'm sure Horne/Fuller will be eating up the rest. -

McVeigh needs to be doing Fire Feet and the Karaoke Drill non-stop rather than bulking-up. Game 1 starters: -Watson -Webster -McVeigh -Morrow -Jacobson B1G Game 1 starters: -Watson -Gill -McVeigh -Jacobson -Jordy I think Jacobson is going to benefit most from the Jordy signing playing the 4. I really hope he can get a great mid-game going with some open 15 footers and also hit some wide-open outside shots. I think he could shot around 40% from 3. Reason being, he's such a smart player, I think he'll only take good shots and when he gets his feet set, I like his shot from 3 as good as anyone's from the outside (or tied with Jack, but he was STREAKY last year). Jacobson also showed the ability to go by other 4/5's when he faced up to the basket. I see Roby playing a bunch at the 3 behind/sharing the spot with Jack and I think Fuller is going to have to play a lot behind Jacobson/Morrow/Jordy. With the 4-5 spots you have 80 minutes. Are those 3 guys going to be able to average over 25 minutes a piece??? If Jordy is playing those minutes, then things are GOOD!!!! I hope he does, and like Norm said, if Jordy is a "out-of-the-box" starter, that lines this team up better on both ends. I JUST HOPE BIG JORDY CAN DEFEND WITHOUT FOULING!!!!! -
Also..... (from 247 sports) looks like he is the 4th rated Center coming to the B10 thus far from the '16 class.... two going Big Blue, other Ohio St. Please just be able to defend without fouling!!!!!! I feel that is number 1. Rebounding 2nd....... 3rd can be distant from those two.

NICEEEEEE!!!! Get to work young man, cuz you're going to be tested A LOT this winter....... AWlll has to like this, right???!!!!???!!!!
-
Prediction..... -We get Jordy.... but he has little impact as a freshman. -White stays, and we THUMP Creighton at home by 20!!!! -But..... We get THUMPED by KU. -Only lose 3 non-conference games -Finish 9-9 in B1G, win a game in the B1G tournament, and make the DANCE as a 9! -Then....... Anything can happen!!! (Hopefully at least one thing, one time) When I think of Coach Miles and Jordy, it makes me think of Kevin Bacon in the "Air up There". Problem is, I currently see TM as Ren from Footloose, since he hasn't brought in that big guy....... But that will change @ 7:00 am Monday.

So....... When is the last possible date he can wait??? May 18th????
