University of Illinois' basketball arena, State Farm Center, which is currently undergoing a mega-renovation project was flooded by stormwater early today.  They had just put the basketball floor (which had also just been refinished recently) down.  No determination yet of whether the floor will need to be repaired or replaced.

Still, pretty crappy timing for them.

Not sure an alternate home is absolutely necessary, but they may need to see if they can't get someone to loan a court to them if they need to get a new one.

I wonder if we still have that synthetic court we got for the game in Omaha against Oregon?  I bet we could ship that to Illinois for a few games!  :D

Just so long as NU can select the game(s) it's used for, like nationally televised ballgames against NU (or somethin')! ;)
