hhcmatt Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 But Iowa is losing to UNO in the second half. I'll take the slight RPI drop that this upset would entail. Quote
The Coach Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 Gesell and Woodbury seem to be hitting a sophomore slump so far. Quote
hskr4life Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 UNO was looking to go 2-0 to... who woulda said that UNO would be the first 2-0 team in Nebraska. Well not anymore now. Quote
atskooc Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 Gesell and Woodbury seem to be hitting a sophomore slump so far. I'm not sure I'd quite go that far, but you're right in that both those kids had horrible stat lines for this one. Combined for only 25 minutes or so. Quote

Their stat lines weren't great in their first game either. But we'll see how they progress. I wonder if Gesell guarded the Carter kid from Benson, because it sounds like he got to the basket at will. If that's the case, they may struggle quite a bit against Webster and Biggs. Quote
hhcmatt Posted November 11, 2013 Author Report Posted November 11, 2013 Woodbury is the guy to worry about if you're Iowa...Gesell is still getting back in the swing of things. Iowa shot a LOT more free throws....not sure if that is part of their game or if the refs gave UNO a bit of a screw job. Quote
hhcmatt Posted November 14, 2013 Author Report Posted November 14, 2013 Illinois looking like they are going to outlast that pesky Valparaiso team Quote
hugh42 Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 UNO beat UMKC by 30 tonight (101-71), bettering the number of points and margin that Creighton had against the Kangaroos. UMKC isn't very good, but UNO must not be too bad. Quote
