In an era of NET efficiency and metrics correlating to tournament births, is there a thing such as a “meaningless” bucket? Every basket, point, etc matters. To the very end.

They violated the natural order of the winning team holding the ball with no shot clock and the losing team not fouling to extend the game.  If that happened to us there would be 6 pages about wanting to kick someone's ass over it.

100% re-reading that post made it seem like they SHOULD have taken that shot. I’m more in favor of Pitt being pissed about it as you said.

 

If Pitt had called off the dogs, making that bucket is more than meaningless to them in the eyes of the metrics.
