Over heard last week by the planted HHC mole when NU contacted Amy Williams.

 

Marc Boehm: We’d like to offer you the job of Head Coach of the Cornhusker Women’s Basketball team!

 

Coach Amy; Fantastic, what do I have to do to sign up?

 

Marc Boehm: Just sign here on the dotted line.

 

Coach Amy: Thanks, anything else?

 

Boehm: No, that about does it. You start work next week.

Your first order of business is to get all the existing players and recruits back on board especially Natalie.

Then name your assistants;

Once you have all that taken care of you need to make a bunch of new contacts with future recruits. ........What am I telling you this for, you can figure out the rest.

 

Coach Amy: What kind of a time line are we talking about here.

 

Boehm: The sooner the better.

 

Coach Amy: I think I can manage that in relatively short time.

 

Boehm: Great then, we’ll see you next October.

 

Boehm: ………..Oh by the way before you leave, have I mentioned we really, really like winning! Your first game next season will be in the Pre Season WNIT. Our opponent hasn’t been announced yet but expect it to be a very good team. Your fourth game is in PBA against some team you may be familiar with from the east coast,…..uh (cough-cough) UConn………

 

Did I emphasize we really, really like winning?

 

Coach Amy: Gulp…..yes sir!

 

Boehm: Have a great summer Coach!

If there is any truth to the media reports about the public dustups between Connie Yori and Julie Tuttle, where Tuttle criticized Connie in front of her players, then the new coach's second order of business needs to be finding a new athletic trainer. No matter how well-intentioned she might have been, you cannot allow that.. It would constitute a degree of insubordination that you simply cannot put up with.
