Yeah, great game, Huerter was unconscious, but SU hangs on, 72-70. I half expected him to throw in the 85-footer at the buzzer the way he was going.

Syracuse up late first half over Maryland, 32-25 Orange were a 3-pt home favorite over the Terps Virginia is a 7-pt home favorite over Wisky later tonight

Back and forth game, but Mizzou went to a zone and pulled away from STJ, 90-82. STJ had actually built a nice mid-2nd half lead, but that zone caused a lot of problems. Plus Mizzou shot great from 3 over the last 10 minutes. Question: Anyone know if any local radio will be broadcasting NU hoops instead of NU football postgame tonight?

Postgame chatter: Vol: 10; ed: 4 - North Dakota
throwback replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Like the "short memory" observation - perfect description and exactly what we needed today. N Dak is just scrappy enough and runs just a weird enough offense that if we came out in a funk, still thinking about Thursday, that's probably a 40-min battle. Felt so good for Copeland and Gill - with all the things they've gone through with injury, transfer, etc, that had to feel great for them, a big relief. Allen was not available today, Coach said pre-game he probably shouldn't have played Thursday either as he recovers from the hard fall he had Monday. I'd expect he'll be ready to go in Orlando. -
I am seeing NU -9.5 right now for Sunday

I think that loss to Fairbanks made him swear off in-season tournaments. I know it made me swear.

Third straight year it ends in a 4-4 tie - I'm sure there's joke about kissing your sister who's a Big East fan in here somewhere, but not for me - my sister is far too smart to be a fan of the Big East or any of its teams B1G (4) Minnesota 86, at Providence 74 Purdue 86, at Marquette 71 at Maryland 79, Butler 65 at Illinois 82, DePaul 73 BE (4) at Seton Hall 84, Indiana 68 Birds 92, at Northwestern 88 at St John's 79, NU 56 Xavier 80, Wisconsin 70

That was tough to watch. To be clowned like some bottom-feeder Summit League team the final 5 minutes was as bad as it gets. SJ made it a game all about toughness and aggressiveness, and we shied away for the vast majority of the game. Concerning, as that happened for a good chunk of the EIU game too. Lots of work to do on the psyche of this team, at least for starters. Hopefully this was a blip and not a trend.

Current numbers for tonight's games: NU +7 at St J Wisky -3 vs Xavier So far the B1G is 3-2 vs the number in these games - favorites are 3-2 ATS but with 2 straight-up road wins by dogs: Minnesota 86, at Providence (-2) 74 Purdue (-5) 86, at Marquette 71 at Maryland (-5.5) 79, Butler 65 at Seton Hall (-13) 84, Indiana 68 Birds 92, at Northwestern (-4) 88 Vegas has slightly undervalued the B1G in these games so far. Also interesting only one game has been a single-digit margin so far, even though four of the five point spreads have been pretty tight.
