  1. well, maybe familiarity helps opponents? but yeah, understand your comment
  2. Helms? i don't remember how the redshirt works? 20%? idk, with NCAA's gone (well, except for winning BTT, and odds are slim that is going to happen) do you really want to burn her redshirt? Helms would have final say, but, i would redshirt her if possible.
  3. guess i wasn't aware she would only have 11 on scholarship.......now, she states they need to go to 15 https://notredame.rivals.com/news/notre-dame-women-s-basketball-changing-recruiting-approach Raoul kept a list of the 2018-19 transfers: Total: 589 Power Five: 119 Non Power Five 470 Grad Transfers: 82
  4. yes, i was just listening to matt and jeff. so, i didn't get to see it.
  5. was that the reverse lay-up? if it was, not exactly all THAT easy. just a great shot.
  6. the one thing that really surprises me is that i thought they would be a better rebounding team this year. i really liked the fight of mershon and verbeek last season. plus, the addition of bourne this year. not that they haven't had their moments..........but, that seems to be it.....moments.
  7. or, just plain execution?
  8. very true. i wouldn't be shocked if changes appear for next season. it's been mentioned before.
  9. yes, this is true---------but, all around good talent. don't forget, patberg started out at notre dame. indiana can play both ends of the court very well.
  10. feel bad for coach. sure could see the frustration in her facial expressions and the way she played with her water bottle and papers during the interview.
  11. i would have to question that. maybe i am wrong, but, i just don't see a team that has given up on their coach. granted, i have only been able to watch a few games on tv and listen to matt and jeff during all the games. i don't see any kind of hint from matt and jeff, either.
  12. no, i knew who you were talking about, but, i should have mentioned the next class won't be till she is a senior anyway. apologies.
  13. never say never---game of basketball can surprise. having said that, indiana has been playing pretty well again. even though close. grace berger has one of the best elbow shots i have seen in quite awhile. man, impressive. huskers might keep it close, but, i just think indiana will be too much for them. they gave maryland all they could handle, but, that pressure just wore on them.
  14. school record for assists---thought that's what matt stated. well, one way to get mentioned in the record books.
  15. two biggest things stick in my mind (and, have been mentioned for the most part). a very good point guard and a 6'1"-2" wing that can get to the basket and/or shoot the mid-range with some consistency (not asking for much )
  16. i really didn't pay close attention, same ol' same ol'-----------till i thought i heard that. haha
  17. imo, it was a steep, and i mean steep, mountain to climb after the loss to osu. i wouldn't mind seeing a starting line-up of Cain, Bourne, Brown, Eliely, and Whitish----but, doesn't really matter now.
  18. HOME IS WHERE THE TIGERHAWK IS Iowa has won 32 consecutive games on Mediacom Court in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, including a 11-0 mark this season. The last loss for the Hawkeyes at home was a 92-74 defeat against Nebraska on Jan. 28, 2018.
  19. prospects nation #44 and #14 pos rank 2021 recruit: https://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/hawkeyes/iowa-womens-basketball/sydney-affolter-a-wing-from-chicago-commits-to-play-womens-basketball-at-iowa-20200129
  20. iowa is hard to beat at home this season. maybe they are due for a stumble? huskers can't afford to "throw away" a quarter @ iowa. gonna have to play a complete game, or very close to one for a shot at walking away with a 'w'. plus, iowa is going to want "payback". rebound, rebound, rebound-----and chase down at least some of those loose balls if opportunity arises. huskers may not come away with a win, but if nothing else, want to see them compete the whole game and at least be in the game at the end.
  21. just happen to stumble across this column this morning on vb's popularity on BTN. states it is 3rd, just behind football and men's basketball. vb attracts the youngest viewership. here's link if you haven't seen it and would like to read it: http://m.startribune.com/big-ten-network-says-volleyball-viewership-is-no-3-behind-football-men-s-hoops/566352692/?fbclid=IwAR3E4xMnZNNXXdF7fK0yyrfS7jYD2SPrUJx-QurXPHgRH1UsZ4PES1FfZkk
