is there 1 scholarship open for next season? been tough, but, good to see a little release

huskers MAY have a shot with indiana being at PBA------but, yup, going to take a huge effort to find a w down the final stretch. at the beginning of the year, i was hoping the huskers would show some competitiveness and pull out maybe 4-5 conference wins. i thought that could really help along the lines of recruiting-------but, wow, it's going to be a longer climb up from the basement than i imagined.

hate to agree--------------but, you are correct.

think they should go to locker room and grab their street clothes and just jump on the bus/plane, whatever. maybe do what one of my coaches did------------on a trip back home after getting our butts kicked, dumped us out in the country a few miles before home and made us run to town.

if you look at the stats, wiscy not a bad rebounding squad. i was worried about that going into the game.

well. that was a butt ugly 1st quarter.

hoping for the best--------preparing for the worst. if i remember correctly, the situation was along the lines of chronic knee pain. after doing some reading about it (when the topic of surgery came up), and i don't want to sound negative, but, it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. would have to search the forum, but, i think dllrk had some serious questions about the situation last season.

the only question or comment i have about pushing the ball--------huskers were more short-handed than usual. imo, if they would have continuously tried to push the ball, the game may have never made it to OT. huskers may have tried to pace themselves a bit. no doubt, there were times they could have took off. i heard the announcers even mention the "box out" problem. agree with Row6Seat10, the pass to woody near the end of regulation put me right on the edge of my seat and my eyes got big. man, i wish that would have went in for her. the team fought hard-------yeah, some things to pick at, but....

goofer fans will go bananas if huskers can win this one. they are already labeling this game, if a loss----"it would be embarrassing". i am not sure i would put it in that category as the records aren't that much different. maybe goofers have been a little more competitive i some games, but, still losses. the call for Jim Peterson and/or Lindsey Whalen will grow louder--------or, at least someone else to take the reigns. limit bell and/or wagner and huskers will have a good shot.

really hoping huskers can put together a great game-----for the fans, yes, but, most of all for themselves! GBR! yes, been a tough season, but, hard to believe the season will be down to about a handful of games (not counting BTT).

if i heard coach correctly, sounds like allie has been struggling a bit with a foot problem also.

question: anyone have any insight into any "bigs" the coaching staff may be on [next few recruiting cycles]? as in true post player? seems to me they have been rather guard heavy at the time (excluding Verbeek listed at 6'2")

no doubt, minny is beatable at PBA. i could see a win against wiscy, but, being at Kohl makes it a bit more difficult. don't want to say the huskers couldn't pull off a win with any of the other games at PBA---------just that minny and wiscy offer best chances.

no doubt, osu built to score. not overly impressed when they have to fall back into their defense. i thought they would have a great shot at winning the big ten this season. still do, but....i can see where they run into problems with teams that have above average (or better) play on both sides of the court. maybe they were just going through the motions with the huskers, but, i question whether osu can make a big run in the ncaa's. i admit, only about 3rd time i have seen osu this season. anyway, my gosh, the turnovers. smh. were a few times where the husker guards caught the ball near the half court during the press and could have taken off across the line, but, instead were looking for that extra pass-------GO!!! huskers had stretches where offense had their moments, even when they didn't score. too bad they couldn't have taken advantage in that first half when osu was struggling a bit----just turned it over too much. would like grace a few more chances to pull the trigger------but, one of the problems is, is she is set up 10ft out or more, no one there to rebound but maybe jess (or washington). overall, not a huge bust-----i was afraid of this one really getting out of hand.

just would like to see the huskers play "smarter"-----------and carry it forward.
