  1. with luck she's off the board cause we are close to getting Miss Romeo and the coaching staff is backing off. Romeo will be a better fit with Miss Theriot being here and with luck Miss Simon soon to be here. anyway my fingers are crossed.
  2. BirdsOnTheBat sorry for the misunderstanding i loved her when she was hired and have not missed a game since, whether in attendance or huddled by a radio listening to a road game. 0-16 in league did not waiver one bit. she is class top to bottom. she built the program from the bottom to really a national power, 100% grad rate and by the way how many academic all conference players, great community involvement from her players, never waivers on the values or expectations from herself and her players, a very appreciative fan base and this list could go on for volumes. i am not and never have questioned her, i just don't understand why it is hard to recruit here, i'd think people would beg to come. and yeah i do get antsi, which i do appologize for. please do not mistake that as a lack of love for her or my questioning how she wants her teams.
  3. still trying to figure out why we cannot seem to get players on our board. my guess is that 2014 will turn out like the last two. - we Theriot and nothing else from the list - waited patiently last year saw the whole list evaporate. then we kind of lucked into Miss Havers and got a last minute deal from canada which i hope turns out great. - trying to hold back the negative feeling, but once again the list is evaporating. Lorenzen, Moore and White now off the board and not a single one signed. bigs are becoming few. i really am having a hard time figuring out the White thing. if she went with purdue i'd get it, but illinois. first off not an NCAA caliber team. they should get better, but let's examine a few things. they are now a scholly over the limit and the guy is still recruiting for this year. meaning we obviously think that these young women are disposable on our journey. my guess is that 2 or more from this class will be made uncomfortable enough to leave, if they get injured, or don't perform up to standard immediately. for their trouble they will lose a year of eligibility, if they want to stay in D1. so parents influence don't think that is part of the equation. i don't know of parent who will trade 100% grad rate for there's the door after a two year waste of their childs life. bottom feeder tactics to go with bottom feeder program ( to used car salesman for my taste). very thankful we have Connie. i am really hoping we get 3 of our primary targets. i hope row 6 is correct about the potential south of the border and let's not forget theirs is a little sister who is pretty good. i was also thinking, with the coaching change in Oregon, we might want to find out if Briana Ruiz can get released from her scholarship. she'd have four years of eligibility and be in uniform to open up the arena. we really do need a big guard or small forward who can beat people off the bounce.
  4. very sad. a bottom six coming in and stealing two from our back yard. how can we not get serious looks with the arena, training facility and a sweet 16 caliber team already in place. is there any recruit we are close to landing. many teams have already filled and we cannot seem to land one.
  5. The god news is that Jordan and Emily will get to work this summer. They were both limited last summer by injuries. As a result Emily had a slow start and Jordan was a bit inconsistent. They will both improve this summer and fall. More good news Rachel should be healthy and she was clearly limping in the toward the end of the season. The bad news is this, currently no one on the team is capable of matching Lindsey's consistency or mental toughness. Hopefully someone will step up big time in both areas. X-factor and this could make all the difference. T'erra and Brandy, how good is a healthy Brandy? If she learns a bit T'erra is a mismatch off the bounce as soon as she walks in the arena. For the record I'm with HB. I picked it 1) Purdue 2) NU 3) MSU 4) PSU, which tells me I have Nebraska in the 10 to 15 range for rankings. I do like the ranking in terms of potentially helping recruiting.
  6. Huskerfan 86 I too would love to see Chatrice in a Husker uniform. I consider her and the Page gal from Kan.the best of the bigs on the list. I consider her the top priority though. We have to keep the best players in the state and also home grown talent put more back sides in seats. Simon, the improvement is day and night from year start to year end. During the Iowa game at the Bob I turned to my dad and said, when did she learn to move her feet on defense ( foot work at the beginning of the year was rather brutal). Then the last game against PSU she grabbed 2 boards and on both she completely boxed out the interior PSU thugs, which pulled out another OMG for me. I think she can be a huge surprise next year.
  7. Row 6 where do you get all the information from? And oh by the way thanks for sharing. I really appreciate it.
  8. It's all in how you use it. Athletic 6'5" nice bodied versatile 6'3 with a junior or senior point 6'0" point guard ( depending on post season surgery). What's missing a do everything asked two ( Romeo) and a athletic 3 that can get to the rim off the bounce and play the mid game. There are 3 on the list that I like. The recruiting talent in the state on the upswing, meaning that there is a good chance of quality depth behind. Potentially an air apparent 6'1" point guard in your own back yard. I think we are a lot closer than people want to admit.
  9. This game should be excellent motivation for the summer. I'm sure they have some realization to how close they were to the top. Just 3 made shots away and let's face Notre Dame did not exactly dominate Duke. GBR
  10. huskerfan 86. we showed well in that all 6 got through the first round. with the exception of purdue and penn state they all went according to design. the one "outstanding" PSU having an early departure was a bit of a shock, but one i am extrordinarily happy with. watched them in the brawl they lost in minnesota and then the next week in our house. starting with maggie lucas' FU to the official after a travel call and followed with the countless techinicals for language they didn't call, capped off with Alex Bently getting up in an officialls face and unloading the 4 letter dictionary a couple times, so though it makes the conference look a bit worse having them lose, i was very glad. can't stand the idea of that amount of classlessness being on display.
  11. i told my dad they are bigger, faster, stronger, deeper and more athletic, so of course we will win. when he asked why i said, despite the afformentioned, they are not a great shooting team and i have a hunch double 0's is going to come up big. i did not expect Sample to come up that big though. what a great win and that was the best offensive excution i have seen by the huskers in a long time.
  12. Actually Ramacieri is the recruit I am the most interested in, since i know the least about her. Tvrdy I have seen several times, there is nothing eye popping talent wise. So to the head scratchers this is what we are getting. A coaches daughter, so she is well coached with an above average IQ and will probably be bit of a hardnose in practice. As close as I can get you, think Kala Kuhlman. Her contributions will serve the team very well at practice and probably will not pop on the court. She will give good quality minutes, however, she probably won't light the stat sheets on fire. Havers with her height and athleticism could be super star, but let's be honest. If you read her coach talk closely, she needs more size. The talk about benefiting from focusing in on one sport, that is coach talk for needs to improve ball skills to be that star. Think she and dear old NU might be best served in the long run with a redshirt. What about Esther? I do not know, but I am hoping she is a great on ball defender. Love to see the steals on the stat line.
