Hey Fran, let your team chuck up 3's all game. A couple of things. Whoever guards 1 for Iowa, needs to double team Garza every time he touches the ball. I like the game plan of double and triple teaming Garza on the block. If Iowa starts hitting 3's so be it. My theory is most teams have to give up lay-ups or 3's. With the way Iowa is shooting from 3, take away their post play. This team looks much better when shots are falling. I want to see this team play defense like this when shots aren't falling. That's a step this team needs to take.

Great strategy by Fran. We have no free throw shooters, so it doesn't cost them points, and now they are getting every call. A player literally runs with the ball, and nothing called.

I would guess they finish 9 - 11. If they had some shooters on their team, I would give them a few more wins. They are going to face much better defenses that will make them shoot 3's, which they are not good at shooting. They wanted it much more than Nebraska did. Kavas deserves zero playing time. He needed to only see the floor with Arop and Easley at the end of the game. He couldn't shoot, couldn't play defense, and couldn't rebound. Our lack of effort drove me nuts. This team made zero hussle plays all night. There were many times Rutgers had three or four shots at the rim. We let Rutgers right around us all night. I can live with a poor shooting night. It happens, but there is NO reason not to give 100 % effort. This team is immature. If things aren't going the way they are supposed to go they mope around or get frustrated, and do stupid things. Hopefully, the team that showed up against Indiana and Purdue shows up Tuesday night, or it's going to be another long 40 minutes.
