Nice run to start the 2nd half. Now we have a ballgame again.

Yeah got really lazy on the one - but went after it aggressively the next possession.

He does that alot. At home games he often rides the bike behind the bench when he is not in the game.

We needed a bucket to get within 10 and we have a possession where only 1 guy touches the ball :( Make that 2 possessions - although I can live with it if that guy is Brice and we are going for the last shot I guess.

How was that not a foul ???

Well - I guess if you told me the other team would be 10-12 from the floor and 7-7 from 3 I would have expected we would be even further behind than we are :)

Big win. Gives us a chance to get another road win Wednesday to get back even for the two home losses. That would be on pace for 10-10 in the conference which gets us in the tourney for sure. Would never have thought we could win at Oregon going 4-23 from 3 - particularly missing a number of good looks. Morgan and Gary both finished really well around the rim which helped make up for the poor outside shooting. Berke did not have a big stat game but he battled hard and other than not shooting great did not make mistakes. Meah also gave us some good minutes in the 1st half when we needed them. I have been one down on Rollie at times - but he was money tonight with some big shots when we really needed them. If he keeps contributing on offense we might finish pretty strong. All that said: A. Juwan Gary may well be one of my top 10 favorite huskers (and my Husker fandom goes back to the late 1960's.) He really plays with effort and is a great leader. Not the most skilled player - but he gets the most out of his ability and comes up big at big times. His arrival (along with Emmanuel Bandoumel) a couple years ago really flipped the culture of this program when it was in a very bad place. B. Brice Williams deserves to be 1st team all-conference. I know there are some very talented players in this conference - but I don't think there is anyone more important to their team and given our limited offensive threats on this team he just has to battle extra hard every game. I hope he gets some recognition for that at the end of the year.

That is a good example of how the +/- thing doesn't make sense as a game stat. Juwan was a huge positive factor in this win. There are too many other factors can impact =/- in that small of a sample size. You can use it over several games to make points - but for a single game it doesn't mean much.

Brice doing everything he can to avoid a foul there and gets one anyway - what else could he have done when the guy elbows and runs over him. !!

Horrible moving screen that should have been called on them before that last 3.

Had a jump ball they called a foul on us - then they fouled us and they called a jump ball !!!

Guy traveled badly twice on the one possession. At least he missed the shot.

All the sudden their press is killing us.

Maybe a bit - but have seen us called for fouls when other teams players flopped much more obviously.

These refs have already missed multiple out of bounds calls. Both directions - they are just bad at it apparently.

Got some good minutes from Meah on the defensive end. I figured we would need to use him this game. Wish Rollie could have found a way to get him the ball on that last drive.

That one was a mystery - even the obnoxious Illinois fans behind me admitted they did not know what the ref was thinking in calling that a jump ball. It certainly did appear Underwood talked him into changing the call - and doing so well after the play was over - and to a call that made no sense.
