  1. I suppose one way to win in overtime is to not allow any points...
  2. Well... South Carolina let that one slip away. Turned the ball over with 12 seconds to go and LSU pops up a 3 to take it to overtime.
  3. Wait...that wasn't serious?
  4. Good catch. That game was already in progress when I posted and glanced over it.
  5. Lunardi's voodoo magic bubble watch as of Feb. 28: Last Four Byes Arizona State: Thursday vs California, Saturday vs Stanford Alabama: Saturday at Texas A&M Baylor: Saturday at Kansas State St. Bonaventure: Saturday at Saint Louis Last Four In Providence: TONIGHT at Xavier, Saturday St. John's Louisville: Thursday vs Virginia, Saturday at NC State USC: Saturday vs UCLA Texas: Saturday vs West Virginia First Four Out UCLA: Saturday at USC Syracuse: TONIGHT at Boston College, Saturday vs Clemson Nebraska: Friday neut TBD (Conf Tourney) Washington: Thursday vs Oregon State, Saturday vs Oregon Next Four Out Mississippi State: Saturday at LSU Utah: Saturday vs Colorado Marquette: Saturday vs Creighton Notre Dame: TONIGHT vs Pittsburgh, Saturday at Virginia
  6. Notre Dame/Pitt might be an important one as well (I think we know what the outcome will be though). If Notre Dame can do some damage in the ACC tournament, we could be sweating bullets. That is, if we don't do some damage ourselves.
  7. Wednesday's Games of Interest: Big Ten Tourney: Illinois/Iowa - might as well improve our worst loss Providence/Xavier - teams keep trying to knock Providence down LSU/South Carolina - a USC win would help muffle conversations Pittsburgh/Notre Dame - is this even worth it? Ole Miss/Kentucky - again, probably not worth it Big Ten Tourney: Rutgers/Minnesota - played both twice; improve Minnesota Villanova/Seton Hall - cannot have a Seton Hall win here Texas A&M/Georgia - still convinced that UGA is out Florida State/Clemson - maybe a Clemson win will help is FSU falters in the conference tournament? Syracuse/Boston College - huge win/win Butler/St. John's - another huge win/win Eastern Illinois/Tennessee State - RPI boost Thursday's Games of Interest: Big Ten Tourney: Wisconsin/Maryland - improve Maryland's RPI Big Ten Tourney: TBD/Michigan - need Michigan to win, then lose to us Big Ten Tourney: Northwestern/Penn State - improve PSU's RPI Wichita State/UCF - RPI Tulsa/East Carolina - just for good measure Morgan State/Delaware State - just one more win, please Virginia/Louisville - really need this one Western Kentucky/Middle Tennessee - going with knocking off Middle Tennessee NC State/Georgia Tech - probably does nothing for us UT San Antonio/North Texas - RPI win/lose Arkansas State/Louisiana - knock off Louisiana Big Ten Tourney: TBD/Indiana - TBD Oregon/Washington State - keep Oregon out of the conversation California/Arizona State - ASU is getting closer to the bubble North Dakota/Sacramento State - RPI Oregon State/Washington - knock off UDub Long Beach State/UC Santa Barbara - RPI
  8. Final Tuesday update.
  9. Updated. Not the worst night. Some SEC teams really made it tough on themselves. The mid-majors are holding on, and Oklahoma is giving itself the ride of their lifetime.
  10. Well, the A-10 is now fairly solid in becoming a 2-bid league at this point. It's a shame though, because if we swapped our schedule with St. Bonaventure, I'm confident they don't play it anywhere near the success that we have.
  11. Does this mean the announcers for this Boise State game were just talking to themselves for half the game?
  12. You've been tipsy this entire college hoops season???
  13. @royalfan and I have yet to hit rock bottom even after following Delaware State closer than their own fans, so you should be safe for awhile
  14. It's much better than any of the Big 12 or SEC games tonight!
  15. Double OT it is... come on, Davidson!
  16. You might find this interesting then: https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikmatuszewski/2017/03/10/cricket-league-starts-lining-up-host-u-s-cities-partners-and-players-as-enthusiasm-builds/ And from what I've heard, watching these matches live can be a whole lot of fun.
  17. Well... that's one way to finish a Miami/North Carolina game! Is it March yet?
  18. Davidson up 43-39 over St. Bonaventure with 18:13 to go.
  19. Those 4 10 minute quarters has been going on in the NIT since at least last year. It really made no change. There was no quarter. The clock just stopped when it hit the '10 or under' count. The major impact to this format is the fouls. It's also been a number of years that women's college basketball has been using this format. There's been a lot of experimentation with it and I wouldn't be surprised if it starts to find its way into men's college basketball.
  20. This is your #34 RPI Oklahoma squad right here.
  21. Feeling okay about tonight's start. Missouri is likely locked. Oklahoma State has more work to do. And I feel pretty good about how we match up against Buffalo and Vermont. Kudos to those two programs though. Mississippi State will drop (or rise according to Lunardi) after this one. And Alabama just got closer to the bubble. Still much more work on that front, but if things go south, Alabama could be out.
  22. Updating throughout the night.
  23. Sounds about right. An early departure in their tournament could do wonders for us, but at the same time if they still get an at-large we just lost an extra opportunity. I'm not sure how to feel at this point. I guess just root for Davidson on Friday and see where the chips fall?
  24. That's right. At least the Big Ten, as unconventional as it was, recognized that we were legends
