  1. Proud of how they fought. Brice’s 4th foul was the turning point. Glad they fought to the end though. Really like Berke! His energy is great too. When he gets leaner and more muscular and consistent from deep, I’m talking next year, he will be a force. Capt. Morgan is solid too. Rollie will be a big plus as the season goes along. Essegian will get his too. Would be great to see Griffiths find his form and confidence because we’ve seen how well he can play. Meah needs to play a bit more sparingly or according to matchups. And I’m not sure what Uhlis offers over Sam. So if we are going to trim the rotation, Uhlis is the first casualty and Meah with a reduced role. I do have one beef with Fred: why wasn’t Essegian on the floor for the final shot? Didn’t want too many good 3-pt shooters on the floor at a time? Don’t understand that one at all. But hopefully they were saving all of their 3s for Omaha. GBR!!!!
  2. I miss Norm. I followed him on twitter and asked him to come back. I really mean this, but it’s not the same without him. He was a big part of the heart and soul of this board. And I don’t read as much here anymore because he and Cip aren’t around. Come back, Norm and Cip!
  3. The loss won’t hurt us because St. Mary’s seems good. But not winning will hurt us because of our lack of quality non-con opponents. (If that makes any sense!)
  4. I hope this will be more of the outlier than the norm. Rollie seems in a better position than Uhlis but we will see how it goes.
  5. I’ve been disappointed with the PG play. I expected better decision making. Hopefully they can do better the rest of the half. They will need to with Brice on the bench with 4 fouls. That sucks!
  6. Totally agree. He can provide some depth or needed size when the opponent is big. But I need some Captain Morgan!
  7. I totally agree, especially if Mast stays around! They will be good!!!! I hope they surprise us this year too!
  8. Very much agree! Like Berke a lot! Meah ooks mostly lost out there. He is the only transfer that seems out of place on the floor. If he doesn’t improve, he will just provide a breather at the end of the half or depth for injuries. Really miss Mast! They would be quite the team with his passing and shooting! Hope he plays next season and doesn’t go pro. All that said, it’s great to cheer on Husker hoops again! Go Big Red!
  9. We have seen both Griffiths and Essegian hit 3s in previous seasons so I believe it will come. But I agree. We can’t depend solely on BW for consistent shots from deep. That will make any game tough to win against good competition.
  10. I would say it’s more that St. Mary’s is a well-established team and program, and that Nebraska is still growing into the team and program they want to be with players who are still trying to fit together as a team. It will come guys. GBR!
  11. This game will teach us more than most of our non-con. Hopefully we can learn fast enough to pull out a win! GBR!
  12. After listening to the 3 of them today, I am so excited for the season! Opening tipoff can’t happen soon enough! 6 seniors! Promising new and young talent and shooting! Here's to not only a tourney win but a run in the tourney! GBR!
  13. They actually call it the Canadian 4-step. (I was going to say Canadian 4-play but thought @cipsucks might enjoy that joke too much! )
  14. And maybe CS Lewis?
  15. Probably under 50%, but I can still hope.
  16. Stinks but kind of what we heard would be happening. A healthy Rienk Mast would’ve completed this team. Let’s hope that will also be true for the 25-26 season! GBR!
  17. If we are going based on who we lost, I guess you could also say he might be a replacement for Diop. But Meah has much more experience than either of them. I call it a win to get a rim protector like him. We didn't really have one last year since Blaise was injured the whole time.
  18. Think of him as a swap for Blaise. He has more experience and knows his role. He's an upgrade from Blaise.
  19. Maybe it's because he's the kind of guy you hate on the other team but you love that he's on your team, and it's hard for some to want to cheer for him. But honestly, besides, KT, we didn't have anyone else last year, maybe except for Allick too, who fired up the team by their personality. We could use Hawkins for multiple reasons.
  20. Finally made all the picks and finished 13th. Going for the top 10 next season! And hopefully I can do that by not picking against the Huskers again because it’s such a great season! At least I don’t remember picking against them.
  21. I need to commend all of the NU fans at the game. I heard the noise for a while in the 2nd half. Thanks for doing your part, and hopefully I can join you next year at the big dance when we are cheering on our Huskers!!!! GBR always!!!!
