  1. We fired him early because he quiet quit our flagship sports program. The guy pissed away the job.
  2. Lloyd is the one choosing to redshirt. He'd easily be playing 10+ minutes a game if we wasn't sitting out.
  3. Obviously a lot going to yesterday but was just putting it together today that Walker had 9 turnovers because he was effectively acting as the PG out of the paint because he was just whipping balls around. I'd expect him to get better as he gets more games under his belt and hopefully this will help us in relieving some of the pressure off of Sam. It's a strategy worth exploring because you can only go so far between offensive rebounds and Sam backing down small guards into the paint. A very beatable Florida St team coming up next, especially if we can keep our composure for most of the game because that's a team that will self-destruct for you.
  4. The reason for Walker not playing has been inferred to death in this thread. Is there any other reason than to satisfy curiosity for him to spell it out after a game?
  5. Not sure if it makes any difference but wonder how we handle the pressure out there with Lloyd as another ball handler
  6. Oklahoma takes down Seton Hall 77-64
  7. Getting nostalgic about posts complaining about guys who score too much
  8. I know we need to play him; I'm pointing out that often amounts to trading baskets
  9. It sort of helps because he gets hunted and abused on defense
  10. Walker just two turnovers away from a triple double
  11. Walker turning the ball over repeatedly to start this half
  12. Derrick Walker took a corner 3 with no time remaining, it had a chance to go in. Memphis 33-Nebraska 30 at half
  13. Walker gets his first 2 baskets of the season but Memphis gets two easy ones and Hoiberg calls timeout. 24-19 Memphis with 4:24 to go.
  14. Turned it to the football game and Iowa immediately ran in a TD. Will not be watching anymore football today.
  15. 10:49 in the first half, it's 14-6 Memphis.
  16. Griesel with the bad pass and goal tend

While he likely won't magically have Nebraska making 3pt shots or FTs, his ability to score inside and distribute from the post should help this offense that hasn't scored over 60 points against a Power 5 opponent. The likely way Nebraska wins this game is that they dominate in FT differential while Memphis turns the ball over and misses 3s. Seems much more likely that Memphis is able to throttle the Huskers offensively enough to break them defensively. Prediction: Memphis 73 - Nebraska 60 View full article
