uneblinstu's postgame chatter : vol 17; ed 28-Michigan

Fair point, and no guarantees with Carstens and Pfeiffer out there, but sure felt like Brice was getting to the stripe if he took it to the rim. -

Those people are idiots -
No, he won’t be a Boogie Coleman clone. He’ll be a much more productive bench player. Good defender, much better facilitator, no question.

I’m stunned by this. I figured every Nebraska basketball fan had heard the Nebraska basketball sucks sentiment 100s of times from other Husker fans. I experience it all the time. Huge Husker football fans constantly making jokes about about how awful we are at basketball. “Don’t care, don’t watch, they’re the worst program in P5”. Obviously it’s far less right now, but it’s been a constant since the Collier era. Pisses me off to no end. Hell I know plenty of NU grads that are now Creighton fans because “Nebraska is terrible”. Bunch of pansies.

I agree to a point. JPJ was not a quick blow bye kind of guy similar to Brice, but he was great at changing pace (sometimes seemingly impossibly able given his quickness) to the rim and finish or get fouled. He just had a knack of scoring around the rim. Brice is a different kind of shot maker. I don’t think he has that get to rim and finish type of game. -
I think the timing and situation definitely matters. He was a great fit for SDSU. A physically gifted player for a good team emphasizing toughness & athleticism that can guard multiple positions. I think at that point we needed a different type of player. We needed potential offensive difference makers to develop. Probably worked out as well as possible for him. He’d be a great get for the current team with his defense, rebounding, and toughness to go with a group that can score.

He has 2 different strokes. Has has his showman/entertainer stroke where he recoils his hands as quickly as possible and then at other times the normal fundamental follow through release -

Would be nice to have Blaise in games like this -
Small sample size, but Sam shot nearly 41% from 3. If that is sustainable, you gotta find a few minutes for that don’t you?

Gotta make room for Chucky, Hunter, and Frankie.

Oh my, Sam Perkins! I’d post a montage of him, but I’m too old or too dumb. Youngins, help me with some Sam Perkins set-shot highlights please. -

Nitpick or over-analyze all you want. I love watching this team. Out gunned or overmatched, they fight. Great win, great entertainment. I’m with them till the end. -

Tominaga was good. Will fouled too much. Ball moved really well, just no attackers/finishers.
