I think the writer is referring to the Simon girl at Pius, although there has been a nice improvement in Katie Simon's game.

I would expect Tvrdy to be an ok player as said. The Kala Kaufman comparison might be close, which is ok for practice, but on the court, not so much. With the addition of Maryland and Rutgers to the fold, the coming years will be interesting. I think Connie does a great job, but recruiting is going to have to ramp up soon to compete at the the top of the BIG.

Purdue is a bad matchup for us. Too strong inside and good guards. Lets hope we don't get this kind of matchup early.

Watched the SE game this morning. Shepard looks like the real deal. For a sophomore, I was very impressed with her ball handling abilities in the open court and looked strong in going to the hoops. She didn't attempt any shots from any distance but free throw shooting touch was very good. Kastanek didn't attempt many shots, but passed to ball well in traffic and had a number of assists I would guess. She plays hard and is pretty strong. Sometimes tries to do much and was faked out a few times by the Bellevue East players. Iowa will get a pretty good one with her. I would guess she would fit their mold pretty well.

Possible trap game here with Penn State on the horizon.

No words better stated. One of a kind point guard for the Big Red. She will be sorely missed as not only a player but a role model for many.

As much as I would like to hope for more wins, we may have reached our last one. Possibly a couple more at home with Iowa being our best option. But I do love where Miles is going.

As much as I like Hallie Sample for her hustle, I don't know why we run offensive plays for her. She has to be really frustrated with her game on that end. Nice win, but Michigan State is a middle of the road team in the conference in my opinion.

I'm in agreement for the most part. I think we will finish better than .500 but not sure how much over. Penn State is definitely more athletic than we are as was Maryland. Teams like Purdue have a better inside game and better pure shooters, or so it appears. We definitely need to find some athletic rebounders and pure shooters for the future. I think we have some on the way, but need more. Need a few more Emily Cady's on the team, willing to hit the boards!

Don't take this wrong as I love Jordan Hooper, but does anyone else think she is rushing her shots a lot more this year? When she gets squared up, she's tough, but it seems this year she is rushing everything. I think she would be more effective if she let the game come to her a little more. I know we don't have a lot of scoring options, but these wild three's drive me crazy.

Lindsey has been a great representative for the University of Nebraska. You should be very proud. Maybe we can get an extra year from her:)

I'd heard rumblings this fall about the work ethic being a little scary this summer. Lets hope that wasn't the case or it could get interesting. Lets hope this was a wake up call.

I'm hearing that lack of conditioning this off season might be an issue that is causing some of the injuries this fall.I know some of these are iingering from last winter, but would hope that they would have been cleared up. Hopefully that is not the case or it might be an interesting season with the schedule we have.
