At some point the player has to do the work. First you have to admit you have a problem, and decide what you want to do about it. The coach can only do so much.

Need to let the freshmen play more the rest of the season. They put out a lot of effort. I don't understand why Whitish hadn't seen more time. She's one of our better offensive options when she gets a look. Nicea and Grace worked hard tonight.

Here's to hoping the freshmen give it a chance. For the most part, I like what I see from them.

There is a lot of opportunity for playing time at Nebraska next year. Hopefully the the staff can recruit to that point and to her system.

We need to be patient but I seriously can't see 3 point shooters anywhere on this team although we continued to jack them up. May be a couple can be, but it will be a painful season. I do like Nicea. She'll be a good one.

I'd agree with Row6. Nicea will be a nice addition. Love her aggressiveness to the hoop. Cascio-Jensen might be the best walk on we've had here. She will contribute. The rest of the guards were pretty inconsistent. We will struggle from 3 it looks like. I've heard good things about the transfers as shooters but that doesn't help now. Jess and Allie will be the focus of every team we play. Coach Williams always had good 3-point shooters so this will definitely take time to adjust.

Pretty big eye opener for people I would think. We definitely miss last years experience and toughness and quickness. I had hoped for middle of the pack this year but that's going to be a reach I think. Definitely young and we will get better, but I have to wonder if losing a coach with obvious enthusiasm may be playing a part also? Also need to get some people healthy (Blackburn, Simon, Theriot?) That would help a bunch.
