  1. Any updates on Stewart?
  2. I would have preferred the ball in Shelley's hand towards the end. White seemed flustered and had her pocket picked a few times. Also led the team with 5 turnovers.

  4. Lincoln - Nebraska women's basketball is offering an amazing ticket deal just in time for the holidays as part of its Pack PBA promotion when the Huskers host Indiana on Jan. 7. The Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office has activated a 5 for 35 ticket plan in honor of All-American Jordan Hooper's No. 35 jersey retirement, expected during pregame ceremonies on Jan. 7. The plan allows fans to purchase 5 general admission tickets for the game for just $35. Tickets are available on-line now at Huskers.com. Although a game time has not been set for the contest with Indiana, it is expected to be played in the afternoon on Jan. 7 with an anticipated tip time between 1 and 5 p.m. (CT).
  5. Hope this works (first try). Not too savvy with this sort of thing. If it works, +/- minutes are crazy. Jaz had one heck of a game. https://storage.googleapis.com/huskers-com-prod/2023/12/06/B2cvt6a5nXgTMDVS0Nyj9CbN8JW2oAOpGDZZU2HM.pdf
  6. Based on my questionable memory, I thought MM was aggressive early. She would get after it, especially loose balls and boards. She did commit quite a few fouls for the minutes she played. Was she perhaps reined in a bit? She seemed to play more passively as the season went on. That seems to be my memory (but could be off). I expect her to 'get after it', when given the opportunity. Wishful thinking? Perhaps.

  8. Is Brenda Frese feeling any heat? She might be challenging to play for, but it has worked for her before. Not sure what to think of their current rating.

  10. Sorry Bugeaters. My 'Thinking Cap' was certainly malfunctioning when I initially looked at the boxscore. It makes sense today. Have a good one.
  11. I have it wrong. Math isn't my strong suit (not sure what is). I thought the totals in the +/- column didn't make sense. I failed to multip[y total by 5 (number of players on the court). My apologies to all, for the confusion (and annoyance).
  12. I wasn't being critical. I thought I made it clear, Huskers.com had it wrong. But, post or not, your decision.
  13. +/- points are whacky. Maybe Huskers.com will post an accurate version later. Thanks for the effort.
  14. Nissley had 11 points in 13 minutes. Petrie 5 in 7 minutes. And, Coley 5 in 9 minutes. Huge points, when we needed them. 2nd half was entertaining.

  16. My blurb was things I like at the moment, not a critical comment. I'm happy Jaz and White could monopolize floor time at guard. I'm glad we have options to give them the occasional rest. No more, no less. Once conference play begins, I'm sure my tone will change at times. GBR
  17. Things I like, so far. I like our options at the 3 and 4 positions. The Kendal's and the Newbies (Potts and Petrie) are athletic, long, fairly tall, and hustle. They're not all providing the offensive fire power we'd like (yet), but have potential. We need to get Stewart back on the floor. I don't think Petrie is a post player. Even with Weidner out, we have some depth at the guard positions. White and Shelley should get the bulk of the minutes. Historically, Jaz seldom leaves the floor. Hake, NIssley, and Krull are OK off the bench. Krull is the better defensive option, but all can light it up at times. Lastly, Markowski is a stud. She might miss way too many bunnies, spend too much time out by the 3 point line (offense and defense), but I doubt that is improvisation. She is giving great effort. It has been awhile since we saw a post player improve from one year to the next. Good to see. I also like the team togetherness (what you can see with limited access). I doubt Weidner has missed a game since injured. Stewart is still in a boot, but she's on the bench. And, MM, 2 days from the NCAA volleyball tournament, going in as the number 1 seed, is right there on the bench, supporting her WBB teammates. Enjoyed the win ladies. Well done.
  18. Coley is coming off a nice game. She deserves minutes, but not more than Potts.
  19. And Hake. And Krull. (more minutes than Potts ) ????
  20. Any updates on Stewart?
  21. 22. Yes, prior to coaching Rutgers. I recall Don Imus getting into trouble with how he described her Rutgers team.
  23. If she would have tried that against the old Vivian Stringer Rutger teams, she would have been clocked. Might be a player or two in the BIG that would drop her in her tracks.
  24. Only 3 Huskers with positive +/- minutes (the Kendals and Petrie). Looks like if you spent time on the court during the first half TCU runs, you finished minus. Coley had a nice stat line. I don't recall the last time she played 21 minutes. Coach must like what she is seeing.
  25. I'm seeing Lamar stats?
