i don't think it was losing to Tech that was seen as a problem so much as *how* we lost. I'm happy we responded tonight to a quick attempt at a mugging by a team that definitely saw that film. Tonight we didn't just dick around looking dazed. That was my big concern, and now I know they have the capacity to handle physical adversity. I actually was treating this game as a must win, even though I didn't think we would. Not a must win to necessarily get to the tourney, but a must win so this team could verify that they were who they think they are: a legit contender for the second week in the tourney.

huge damned win. huge. beat a tourney team on their court and we weren't playing our best ball. failed the first gut check. definitely passed the second. still gotta get better.

lucky to be tied, probably, because we didn't play especially well. if they want to win they're going to have to figure something out with their offensive flow and selection.

really wasted a favorable stretch there with some bad basketball. this is the kind of thing that had to be cleaned up for this season. 3rd straight game where that focus looks shaky for stretches.
