Yeah, and if you've noticed, attendence has been down at baseball games the last few years. I said nothing about talent of "that BCS school". I don't see Creighton hosting many BCS schools period. Other than Nebraska, who comes into the Clink?

This is my last shameless plug, I promise. I would love the chance to meet posters from the Omaha area--even Creighton fans (well, Cousin Mose for sure....) Anyway, I will be cooking breakfast burgers Friday morning from 5 to 11 at Helping U Barbeque, 157th and West Dodge Road. Actually, my nephew is starting at 5. This old fart's not showing up until 6:30. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. The burgers are 1/4 pounders with cheese with a farm fresh egg on top. Orgasmic! I'll have a big jug of Go Big Red bloody marys mixed up which I might share, and any poster that shows up will get a free bag of jerky.

Look at the success of the baseball program and the basketball program since DVH came to Nebraska. Baseball, for the most part, has been really good. Basketball, not so much. People follow winners. Nebraska basketball playing in Omaha once every two years does very little if anything to promote Husker basketball in the Metro. It does, however, let Creighton host a BCS team once every two years.

How? The two cities are 45 miles apart, not 1500. Nebraska gets coverage in the OWH and all Omaha stations regardless if they play at the Clink. What high school player in the Metro would ever say "I'd love to be a Husker, but since they won't come to Omaha once every two years, I think I'll pass." Or, what potential fan in Omaha would say, "I'd love to go watch the Huskers. If it only wasn't such a long drive to see them. Why don't they play here once every other year?"

They need to go 24-4 (85.7%) to be at least a 3 seed. Not saying they're gonna do this, but just pointing out what would have to be done.

Just for giggles, I found a Maryland message board to gauge their response to the potential move. It was 80-20. 80% in favor of going to the B1G, and 20% against. It was also 80-20 in another area. 80% of the posters reminded me of Colorado Buffalo fans. This could be interesting.

That's funny. Very true. It didn't use to be that way. They had long segments with Moe Iba--which was excrutiating and when Danny was first here which was always entertaining. Once the corporate dollars came into play, not so much....

It will be interesting to hear what Miles says in the post game. It was nice to see Almeida and Talley put up some points. I think Gallegos and Rivers will make me pull out my hair this season...(what hair I have left).
