huskerchode Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Class of 2016. Not sure if she is on NU's radar, but she could become one heck of a basketball player if that is what she chooses. However, I would prefer to see her as a track athlete. What a talent! Nice article in OWH today (and I noticed she's not playing basketball this summer). http://www.omaha.com/article/20140416/PREPZONE/140418592/1215#bellevue-west-s-chloe-akin-otiko-jumps-in-where-she-left-off Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Didn't she just set a new record in the girls 200? And, IINM, she also has the fastest 100 in the state so far this year, in addition to being the best or one of the best long jumpers. Fabulous athlete. She'll do well whichever sport she chooses. Right now, though, I'd just like to see Kiana Ibis become a Husker. Two very impressive young ladies from that State Championship game. Quote
HB Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Akin-Otiko's sister plays for Creighton, right? Would love to overhear something about these players at the banquet tonight, but I'm sure that won't happen. Quote
caveman Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Imagine if you will Miss Romeo and her hitting top speed on the court. Oh Boy! Enjoyed watching her both in track and hoops. She'll do great things in either. Quote
