Need that first B1G win

Check out the standings below. Iowa, in the third slot has 3 league wins. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue...3 wins. Then a group of four teams each with 2 wins. Then the 0-fer group of Nebraska and Penn State. Nebraska and Iowa have only played 4 games each while the rest of the league has all played 5 or 6 as of Saturday night. We can compete in this league. We've competed well in portions of 3 road games, falling in each, and had the heartbreaker at home against Michigan who's tied for the lead in the nation's top conference. We are close. But that is not good enough. These guys need to taste a win, learn what that is about, remember how to do it, and I think we'll see this team come on down the stretch just like last year's group did. We get 14 more chances, 8 of them at home. A win is coming. Need to get in there and mix it up with all the current 2-win teams. Lots of season left. Beating the reeling Buckeyes would be a HUGE lift.

I know, real groundbreaking stuff there, but your response is perfect. The biggest difference I see is our remaining home schedule. Normally there's 2-3 games that get chalked up as guaranteed losses and probable 30 point blowouts. I don't have that feeling about any of our remaining home games so I guess that is a good sign that things are changing slightly. I don't feel like any of the games are impossible to win. Now we just need to win them.

"Competing" and winning are such different things.  

 

Nebrasketball has always done a decent job at competing just not winning. 

 

We need to go on a winning streak.  I guess that means we have to start by winning 1 game first.
