Wisconsin: The Badgers leading scorer from last year senior Taylor Wurtz will sit out the remainder of this season electing to undergo surgery on her back and take a medical redshirt. “After talking to my parents, my coaches and doctors, I decided that it was in my best interest to proceed with surgery,” said Wurtz. “I’m looking forward to being back on the court and coming back stronger than ever and as coach says, walk off the court on my own terms.”

Ohio State: A magnetic resonance imaging test today showed that Ohio State senior guard and co-captain Amber Stokes did not suffer an ACL tear in Sunday's game against Illinois, a source said.

Stokes did sprain her left knee and is expected to miss four weeks. She collapsed in pain near the end of the first half and had to be carried from the Value City Arena court.
