because the nebraska game was dreadful, i had plenty of time to watch the Florida State vs Miami, and florida state has a manimal by the name of Michael Ojo he is 7'1'' legit, 290 of pure muscle, think a young shaq or bulked up Mutumbo..anyways he is rough and out of high school, only FSU and vandy offered him, my question why do we never find diamonds in the rough like this...i mean we could use him more than FSU can, im just asking a question that bugged me the entire time he played today

Although his basketball history is limited, he was a pretty good HS player...

 

High School in Chattanooga, Tenn., in 2012...earned All-American Honors as a senior from the National Association of Christian Athletes...named to the All-Tournament Team at the National Association of Christian Athletes Tournament in 2012...averaged 15.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocked shot per game as a senior...

 

That said, other than Florida State, I cannot find anyone else who may have been interested in him.

i guess my gripe is a) ik doc was not known for scouting and finding those diamond in the rough players he needed and this would undoubtedly be a miss on his part in that department. but can miles find these guys? i mean a 7'1'' african center in Chattnooga, TN is gonna draw some eyes and word of mouth will spread. These are the guys we need so my hope is that miles can find them..

i had a feeling that name or shang ping or some others would be brought up and hey  who's to say vooch wont pan out, im not giving up on him, im just saying guys like Ojo need to be found, if we can find a Maric, or a Diaz we can find a Ojo, or the next Mutumbo out there, or we can just do what baylor did those early Drew years, and stock up on aussie talent( Memo to Tai, if you have any 7'0" footfrriends out there that can play bball...we have spots open...or we can make spots)
