  1. Fremont down 23-19 with 52 seconds left in half. Mater Dei has way better outside shooters than Fremont. Someone else needs to consistently find their shot for Fremont. Jess being triple teamed now, hard to get a pass into her.
  2. Tied 18-18 with 4:06 left in half. Fremont in double bonus.
  3. 12-12 at the end of the 1st. Mater Dei committed 6 fouls by about the 4 minute mark in the first quarter. Want to say all but 1 were trying to stop Jess. Believe she has 6 points. Another girl from Fremont has knocked down a couple of 3s.
  4. Sounds like her team took a beating from Harlan, Iowa, last night. I'm a little surprised by that, maybe I shouldn't be. I think Harlan is ranked #1 in their class in Iowa.
  5. It says 11:20, but I am not sure of the time zone.
  6. I stand corrected - Fremont scored 54 points and Jess and Riley accounted for 48 of those points. http://www.neprepzone.com/basketball/jessica-shepard-s-points-lead-fremont-to-win-at-nike/article_293d96a4-8700-11e4-ad3d-9f900512bf60.html
  7. Ladies should be well-rested for this game. Would be nice to see Natalie Romeo on the court again. Hoping Emily Wood also gets some minutes tomorrow.
  8. I expect a tough game for Fremont. Jess will be double-teamed, maybe even triple-teamed. The rest of the girls will really need to step up. I think Jess has been over 50% of their offense every game so far this year (and probably last year as well). Jess' younger sister played some yesterday and did some good things. I believe Riley Jensen had 10 points, so of the 57 points scored, Jess + Riley had 48 of them. Somebody else needs to be able to score and help out today.
  9. Jess had 38 points and 20 boards today. http://journalstar.com/sports/high-school/basketball/girls/prep-girls-basketball-shepard-s-leads-fremont-past-bishop-o/article_e206182e-e417-56ae-9d6c-ae248a802e42.html Next up, #5 Mater Dei.
  10. If you go to High School Cube right now and create a free account, you can watch Jess and her Fremont team playing in Arizona.
  11. I'm wondering if she will want to go someplace where she can participate in both basketball and track. Creighton doesn't have a track team (just cross country). However, I don't know that Yori allows players to do both, so that would be a strike against us as well.
  12. HB, are you thinking of Ibis?
  13. Don't know if NU has any interest in Chloe Akin-Otiko, but there is a nice article in the OWH today about her and how she has stepped up her game this season. Believe she is averaging 26 per game. http://www.neprepzone.com/sports/thunderbird-girls-finding-another-driving-force/article_930fea8e-bedf-50a5-be27-e80e1fc66966.html
  14. Oh, sorry. If you have a scout account, I think you should be able to log in under it.
  15. Per a KState WBB forum, the father tweeted "Children should not suffer for the sins of their father" a week ago. http://kansasstate.scout.com/forums/2672-women-s-basketball/13465559-breaking-news-fr-kaylee-page-from-wamego-leaving-nebraska?s=173
  16. I really like seeing Emily Wood get some good minutes. She broke a scoring drought that we had, and grabbed a couple of rebounds, and had no turnovers. I like this kid. Hear we have a scholarship available.
  17. We had 20 turnovers in this game, and that is mostly with our starters in the game. That number needs to at least be cut in half.
  18. Hailie was huge in this game with the free throws at the end and also the charge she took. And she had been on the bench a while with 4 fouls, very impressive.
  19. Thank god that's over
  20. Huge free throws by Hailie!
  21. Wow, terrible start to the second half.
  22. Hope to see Emily Wood in the second half.
  23. Need to stop with the silly turnovers.
  24. Rachel came to play!
  25. I'm going to start a chant on Saturday of "No More Boot!"
