Usain Bolt's races are useless without a good start. Muhammad Ali finished a lot of his matches with knockout punches. Maybe Tarin can provide us with that spark in the first few minutes to either keep us in a game or keep the opponent out of the game. Agreed. And Parker's energy off the bench seemed like it was a major difference-maker for us last year. I'm all in on Smith as a starters. What's really great is how high people seem to be on Watson. We're going to be in good hands for the foreseeable future.

I just want to say that Tarin Smith, if he isn't already, is going to be a baller. Love watching him play. He has easy athleticism and is hard-nosed defensively. My only issue with him, and it's probably because he's a freshman getting used to D-1 basketball, is he needs to be a little more aware of trailing defenders, particularly against the press. He nearly had the ball poked out a couple of times. But that's just nitpicking. It's hard to believe a player of this quality was available to us late in the recruiting process. Right place right time I guess.

Yup. It was already frustrating enough watching us play just terrible offensive basketball, but the reffing last night made the game nearly unwatchable. That was as unenjoyable of a win as I can remember watching. I'm still shaking my head at that call against Tai on the block. What's the kid supposed to do?

That was a thoroughly unenjoyable game to watch. At least we won.
