Notice the difference in "ADJUSTED NIL VALUE". Efficient and thrifty.

Dirt hadn't even been invented back then!

Hey hhcmatt, the last sentence in your reply above has stuck in my mind the past several days. We've been discussing and evaluating potential 4 transfers internally on this Forum as each has hit the portal. Guys like Toppin, Okpara, Santos, Saunders, et al to name a few. Have you seen or heard any evidence that the NU coaches have contacted any of these guys? This is, of course, under the idea that Mast's return is still not a certain.
-
I remember how excited everyone was when Rich King committed to NU. We were all dancing in the streets (exaggeration alert for those who weren't born yet)!
-
Nno.
-
You nailed it, hhcmatt.

For dessert I'll have the black forest cake!

How do these two guys compare with Elijah Saunders and Nate Santos?

I checked On3's portal tracker, verbal commits.com, and Rivals portal tracker and there is no evidence either Igor or Amos have announced their commitment. On3 is speculating Amos to Virginia but they show no such speculation for Igor.
-
I guess I didn't explain myself very well. What I meant was that Morgan and Igor/Mast would be the starting 4/5, with Meah coming in off the bench for defense, rebounding, and general rim protection. I know everyone on this board wanted WK3rd, but that ain't gonna happen. And there isn't a lot of news on an alternate plan other than Amos and Meah. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
-
FWIW, Rivals has Morgan rated above guys like Pharrell Payne, Eddie Lampkin Jr, and Baba Miller. If Rivals knows anything at all then Morgan should be solid. Regarding Meah, we need depth in the front court. I'd be satisfied with Morgan, Igor/Mast, and Meah. But then again I'm just an old fat guy sitting on his couch.

Watching the Weather Channel this afternoon, in addition to the damage in western Douglas County, Minden, IA was hit hard. Harlan, IA just missed a catastrophe. On days like this all interstate rivalries should be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers to all who experienced the damage today.

"His agent"........ my word how times have changed!

Yikes, the tornado sirens are howling out here in Scottsbluff. I know this has nothing to do with Husker Hoops, and I sincerely apologize for that, but everyone take care tonight. I know a large portion of the state is under the gun for very severe storms tonight and through the weekend.

On3 is reporting Chucky finalized his deal with Louisville. He's committed. That is quite a nice feather in the cap for Bellevue West, three recent alumni at blue-blood schools and Josiah Dotzler now at St Louis.
-
If they haven't already, the coaching staff needs to put him in touch with Igor!
-
You know come to think of it, every AD we have had since Bob Devaney, not named Tom Osborne, have either ended up being stooges or were sucked into that toilet AKA Texas A&M. Hope this new guy is one that does it right and stays around for a while.
-
That was my exact same thought. And now two hours later I won't be able to live without him!
-
Our faith in the process will again be severely tested, cause On3 is projecting he'll commit to Virginia. On3 gives him a 4-star transfer ranking with a 93.22 rating. That's pretty darn good. "Our" meaning the HHC collective.

And if that fact isn't enough to make a person feel low, remember he also visited Baylor. I'm guessing Baylor layered the manure pretty thick, too.
-
Wonder if he'll still come to the Spring Game this weekend?

I agree with you 100%, AuroranHusker, Fred is building a winner in Lincoln. I'm as excited about this as you are. And getting guys like Griffiths and Essegian (both Big 10 veterans who have experienced competing against NU basketball) attests to this fact. But also the fact that it appears they are having trouble attracting the front court guys they want looks to me like they still have a ways to go. Maybe I'm full of crap and these guys just want to go somewhere with warmer winters, who knows. And if it's as hhcmatt suggests that football NIL over basketball plays a part, well then.... I only know this whole situation is beginning to give me a damn migraine headache.
-
I agree with you, Vinny. NU basketball needs to get back to the Tournament and win a game or two. What was the media storyline for NU in the Tournament this year? It wasn't the terrific season they had just completed, it was the fact that NU is one of only a few D1 programs that have never won a NCAA Tournament game. And they sadly fell short again. I'll even go a step further and say that I believe NU's reputation of being a football only school hurts much more than it helps in attracting the blue chips recruits (high school and transfer). These guys don't want to come here and be ignored in favor of the football program. Fred needs to show these guys NU can be a consistent basketball school in addition to football.

Don't you mean pain to A&M? Lots of pain to A&M!!

Wasn't Danny Manning and Kansas at the Lincoln Regional that year? KU didn't have a great record but still made the Tournament. Lots of KU fans present and I believe the locals also were pulling for KU. They got hot and rode the momentum all the way to a National Championship.
