The first of 3 games in 5 days. I hope everyone is fully recovered. It wasn't that long ago, we couldn't field a team because of Covid/health/injury related issues.

Couldn't help myself. I watched the 2nd half. Glad I did. A few, less than informed, comments: Not sure why Coley hadn't been getting minutes, but looks like she belongs on the floor. Scoggin might not be our most athletic player, but love her effort. Weidner belongs on the floor, as many minutes as possible. There are a couple starters, that didn't seem to play with much urgency today. Maryland held Markowski and Jaz in check. Probably their game plan. Ruby, Coley, Weidner, and Scoggin, held their own against a very good team. Well done. GBR

Down 23. I think I'm going to watch something else. I will make one comment. Missing bunnies is nothing new. Not sure what the coaches are doing in practice to address it, but it isn't working. Hoping we play tough the rest of the way. I'll watch it later if we do. GBR

Agree on Jaz. She only took 6 shots this game, and all from "3" range. Zero free throws. Hard to complain about the assists, but would like to see her attacking the rim , and stop and popping some "2's".

And she backed right into the screen that led to their last score.

Definitely not a new thought, but I wouldn't mind Weidner getting some of Haiby or Scoggin's minutes. Offensive pace seems to pick up with her on the floor. And, she doesn't take plays off on defense. I liked the minutes Cayton gave us too.

I noticed this when looking at the roster @ huskers.com. Outlook (2021-22)Nailah Dillard (pronounced NY-EE-luh) is expected to miss the 2021-22 season after suffering a knee injury in preseason workouts.

Sorry if already mentioned. I noticed Coley didn't play. Is she nursing an injury, or a bit under the weather?

I don't want to jinx them, but the men are leading Michigan by 9, over on BTN.

Not sure how the refs don't see the Rutgers post player throwing elbows. I think she's nailed Izzie, Bella, and Alexis so far.

That does look like a situation, Allison could have helped. I was having flashbacks to early Amy teams that couldn't handle full court pressure, or in some cases, even inbound a pass against pressure. We're getting better.

I was amused when Punteney said "line change".

Up 20. So far, so good. It might be easier since we're leading, but I am a bit impressed with Purdue. They don't whine and moan when calls go against them. A bit like how our girls react.

Great start by Weidner. Our passing into the post could use some work. Good intentions, but not too accurate.

We got through the half with only 5 turnovers. After 10 days off, not too bad a showing.

Jazz will have her parents in the audience for the first time in Lincoln. I hope she has a huge game, in front of mom and dad. Just read, the parents of Ruby will also be in attendance for the first time in quite awhile. Kick some butt Ruby!

Huskers Return Home Thursday to Battle Badgers Following a 10-day competitive layoff due to health and safety protocols, Nebraska will return to action Thursday night to battle the Wisconsin Badgers as part of a men's and women's basketball double-header between the two schools at Pinnacle Bank Arena.Tip-off between the Husker women (13-4, 2-4 Big Ten) and the Badgers (5-13, 2-6 Big Ten) is set for 8 p.m. (CT) with live coverage by the Big Ten Network.
